Am I the only one who thinks it would be hysterically funny to start mailing napkins to Joe Klein c/o Time magazine (One Time Warner Center, New York, NY 10019), maybe with quotes from the Founding Fathers on them?

Yeah, it’s probably just me…

Anyhow: Klein has accused Glenn Beck of “sedition,” while impeached President Bill Clinton is still blaming the Oklahoma City bombing on Rush Limbaugh.

I wonder if Clinton is familiar with this news story, as reported in the New York Times (yeah, I know, but bear with me):

The trouble with Clinton’s theories about rabid “right wing” talk radio hosts encouraging anti-tax protesters to turn violent, is that that particular crime took place in… 1927.

Not even Rush has been on the radio that long. Incredibly, anger over high taxes predates the rise of conservative talk radio. So does the existence of mental illness and the invention of dynamite.

Anyway, I haven’t been able to find out whether or not the fellow responsible for the Bath School Massacre was a Democrat. Information like that tends to get buried when it’s not convenient.
