This morning on MSNBC in the 10AM EST hour, anchor Alex Witt led a segment on the “Future of the Tea Party.”

Here was the outrageous headline and subhealine:

MSNBC GRAPHIC: The Future of the Tea Party: Monday Marks 15th Anniversary of Oklahoma City Bombing.

Alex Witt and MSNBC might push this line, but guest A.B. Stoddard of The Hill brought reason to the discussion, warning the Democrats not to blame the Tea Party for every crank phone call:

A.B. STODDARD of THE HILL.COM:  Every splinter movement has its fringe in the country… this is not something we can call a “growing threat”… The Tea Party is not a violent movement.

Oops.  I guess Stoddard won’t be a regular quest in the MSNBC echo chamber in the future, or a featured actor on the Countdown with Keith Olberman sitcom…
