A Good Cup of Tea Will Take Care of That Healthcare Hangover

After months and months of vicious slander in the attempt to shut down the Tea Party movement, the Progressives have made little headway. Perhaps they have not given the American people enough credit for being able to see through the propaganda. According to a new poll from Rasmussen, America is still enjoying a good cup of Tea Party politics:

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of U.S. voters believe the average member of the Tea Party movement has a better understanding of the issues facing America today than the average member of Congress. Only 30% believe that those in Congress have a better understanding of the key issues facing the nation.

When it comes to those issues, 47% think that their own political views are closer to those of the average Tea Party member than to the views of the average member of Congress. On this point, 26% feel closer to Congress.

Finally, 46% of voters say that the average Tea Party member is more ethical than the average member of Congress. Twenty-seven percent (27%) say that the average member of Congress is more ethical.

This is welcome news for a large number of Americans suffering from a healthcare hangover, complicated by daily attacks of racism. Despite the lack of any video evidence whatsoever, the Progressives continue to throw out ridiculous assertions such as this weekend’s unhinged article from Colbert I. King. King, basing his theory on incidents that have absolutely no evidence of having ever happened, makes this comparison just for starters:

The angry faces at Tea Party rallies are eerily familiar. They resemble faces of protesters lining the street at the University of Alabama in 1956 as Autherine Lucy, the school’s first black student, bravely tried to walk to class.

He goes on to compare what he is seeing today to David Duke rallies and George Wallace followers. All this, based on charges of racial slurs being yelled out, yet no evidence that anything like that was ever said. Andrew Breitbart (you’ve got to love the guy) has even offered $10,000 to anyone who has video evidence, yet no one has been able to produce a thing to date, despite hundreds of video cameras and media being present. What a fine journalist King is proving himself to be.

Stand strong, America. The healthcare hangover from last week took more than a few Alka-Seltzers to quash, but the hearts and minds of the American people are on the right track.
