Will we all look back someday and wonder why the nation was so transfixed on Health Care Reform while a scandal was brewing capable of bringing down an Administration? Because the White House continues to avoid questions, there is no way to know at this time.

As I noted in an earlier post, the claims of Representative Joe Sestak against the White House could result in a criminal investigation. Now, Congressman Darrell Issa is suggesting that if the White House continues to stonewall on the matter that,

“If the public doesn’t receive a satisfactory answer, the next step would be to call for a special prosecutor, which is well within the statute.”

This story has the potential to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest story of the Obama Administration, and yet somehow it is flying under the radar at present.

As we all learned during Watergate it is often the cover up and not the actual act that brings down those in the highest offices. The longer the White House stonewalls on the Sestak issue the more likely that, if a scandal is uncovered, it will reach higher and higher in the Obama White House.

If the Obama White House has nothing to hide about Congressman Setak’s allegations then it would be prudent for them to answer now, and not wait for a special prosecutor to find the answers.
