Why did you vote for socialism? I know I didn’t, and now that Reverend Al Sharpton has cleared things up, I’m pretty mad at all the rest of you. You, my fellow Americans, apparently voted in socialism while I was being told by MSNBC how ridiculous an accusation that was.
While discussing the passing of the healthcare measure on Geraldo at Large Sunday evening, Sharpton was a bit confused as to what the American people expected. He said:
“The American public overwhelmingly voted for socialism when they elected President Obama.”
He meant this as a good thing, by the way.
I know people who voted for their mortgages to be paid and people who voted for a “moment in history” and all kinds of other asinine reasons, but I think many of them might be surprised to know they were voting in socialism. Well, wake up. It’s morning in America and you voted in socialism. Too bad Al didn’t give you a heads up on that before the election. Enjoy.
