UC Berkeley's Boalt Hall School of Law is not exactly anyone's ideal of the best place to be as a conservative, originalist professor. He survived it, and is well thought-of by his fellows, including the largely liberal faculty. But his best performance so far came, in all places, on Jon Stewart's Daily Show. By about halfway through the show, Stewart's snark had nearly disappeared, and he found himself agreeing with Yoo. At the end, in total self-amazement, Stewart admitted he actually liked Yoo, and would like to have him again as a guest. Yoo is both unflappable and has a sense of humor, things sadly lacking if far too many self-important law professors. He also knows we are at war with an indefatigueable enemy. They must be stopped at all costs. Our national security is at stake. I have no confidence in the Obama administration, and every day we go without experiencing another terrorist attack, I know it's by the grace of God, and I thank God for those who haven't bowed to political correctness.
