Inquiring minds want to know: Is Obama trying to bankrupt America? One short year ago, asking this this question would have guaranteed my inclusion among the ranks of right-wing nuts and/or conspiracy theorists. Today, it is a serious question being asked by Neal Boortz, Rush Limbaugh and many other leadng conservatives. Here’s why.
In the summer of 2008, as John McCain and Barack Obama were campaigning for president, a series of economic events (started by Sen. Schumer) resulted in shifting the focus of the presidential campaign off the Iraq war, and on to the economy. These events ultimately resulted in Barack Obama’s election as President.
June 26, 2008: Democrat Chuck Schumer leaked a memo questioning the solvency of IndyMac bank. This memo precipitated a run on IndyMac which led to its failure. Federal regulators pointedly cited U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., in explaining the bank’s failure. “The immediate cause of the closing was a deposit run that began and continued after the public release of a June 26 letter to the OTS and the FDIC from Senator Charles Schumer of New York.”
This event, coupled with the Lehman Brothers collapse in September, marked the beginning of the current economic meltdown and provided the ammunition for massive government intervention in the private market.
July 12, 2008: The federal government takes control of the $32 billion IndyMac Bank. *
Sept. 6, 2008: Fannie Mae begins its downward spiral, which will end with a crash in November. This crash was avoidable, as the problems with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were identified in June of 2006, when 15 Republicans on the Senate Banking Committee introduced legislation to address the problem. Democrats, led by Barney Frank, killed the reform efforts.
Sept. 15, 2008: Obama and McCain are virtually tied in their race for the presidency. Out of no-where, in the space of less than 2 hours, the Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous drawdown of money market accounts in the U.S. to the tune of $550 billion. Rep. Paul Kanjorski of Pennsylvania said that if authorities had not closed the banks, $5.5 trillion would have been withdrawn from US banks, which would have caused the collapse of the US within 24 hours.
This seminal event marked the ascendancy of Obama’s candidacy, and eventually resulted in his election as president. Full article here…

Bankruptcy is the Obama torch which will lead to the "smoldering ruins" of our Constitution-based and capitalst nation.
Every time there is some form of corruption, if left unnoticed or unchecked, it makes matters worst. Its like lying. Our government with its lobbyists, special deals, special interests, distortions, distractions, and its complexities, by its nature, does perpetuate corruption. But it was not the founding fathers that did this, it was our modern government, that manipulates the system to their own advantage. Some how, some way they circumvent the rules to their owe advantage. They vote themselves raises and benefits and they become privileged. This is wrong and it is corrupt. If the Senate and the House had a spine and some guts, they would agree to be have health care insurance like the rest of us will have to accept.
If a President attempts to "bankrupt" America, America shall call his or her's bluff. The United States of America, by definition of its Declaration and Constitution, cannot be bankrupt. States, commonwealths, localities, municipalites and bureaucracies waxes and wane, but how can you bankrupt something as abstract as the Bill of Rights?
After you bankrupt it, what do you then do with it? Institute communism? Good luck trying to get a bill to the floor, let alone a constitutional amendment.
If the Obama administration has proved anything, it is that billionaire crooks like George Soros belong in prison, not behind the scenes.

You're obviously pathetically unclear on the concept. Communism comes by fiat. There are no "bills"; no "floors"; no "constitutional amendments"; no constitution to amend. It's authoritarian dictatorship. You must have gotten your education off the back of a cereal box or thru the Marxoid public school system. Same thing.
It is clear to me that Obama is bankrupting the country , one only needs to understand communsim to see that he is trying to do this. It is being done slowly or if you will a controlled crash, he is building a infrastructure of people who will move in after things fall apart. So why isn't anyone in the media challenging him on this? why do they continue to debate each decision and argue policy without seeing what he is doing?I only have a high school education and I can see that red train comming.

Obama is bankrupting the nation in that with the help of the rest of government is creating debt
that can never be paid and that will crash the dollar which will crash the economy which will
create sufficient disorder that establishing martial law and suspension of constitutional rights
will be the order of the day. Then the down and dirty fighting will take place within a nation in
confusion, the final outcome may be as bad as the journey there, time to hug your religion and
guns all the tighter.

An understanding of the postmodern mind might be instructive. Obama and his radical allies are merely "transforming America." If bankruptcy occurs along the way, them's the breaks. It's for a noble and greater good after all. You have to think like a criminal tyrant to understand the logic of the Left.

Any cowboy will tell you that in order to establish rule over a new horse, first, you must break it's will. And in order to establish rule over a nation you must first break it's economy.
Wow, that's a great analogy Clyde. I do feel like the current government is trying to break my spirit. This is a hostile take-over of our nation but because they "look like us" we are paralysed. Obama wearing his SEIU purple tie when he talks about health care is as good as Castro in fatigues- they have signaled who they are and what their intentions are- I hope it's not too late to save ourselves from this cabal of wannabe tyrants who hide under the mantle of the unions.
Of course he's trying to bankrupt and destroy this country that he hates so much. That is the only thing that he has ever been honest about–he said from the start he wanted to 'change' this country. Look at his past, look how he was raised–that's all he knows. His past is bankrupt–he has no firm solid foundation of any kind to govern from. He had an abusive childhood and is taking it out on the world–or at least America. Obama is a very dangerous man—IMPEACH!!!
With one exception; he's trying to bankrupt "white America"! I truly believed he is one of the biggest haters and racist on our planet. He gravitates to anyone who hates whites as he does. It's very clear by whom he has associated himself with and who he still does! As for his ligitimacey to be president of this country, I like many others ( and we're not ignorant right wing kooks) suspect he is not.
If you truly believe this then a second revolution is no only called for but a necessity. I prefer to think Obama is just a fool.
