It’s settled. A Brooklyn prosecutor’s decision to clear three Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) workers yesterday is proof that James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles are on an evil crusade against the poor.

I can’t think of another explanation for his decision, except maybe conflict of interest.

No, that can’t be it. An “unnamed source” in “law enforcement” at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office told the New York Daily News that Giles and O’Keefe edited the tapes “to meet their agenda.” Which means you can forget about all those YouTube videos. We now know that ACORN workers would never offer advice and encouragement to pimps, prostitutes, and child sex slavers.

Giles and O’Keefe are just evil Windows Movie-Maker magicians. Mystery solved.

But, on the other hand, there could be some favoritism going on. Founding Bloggers revealed yesterday that Brooklyn DA, Charles Hynes, himself, has pretty close ties to ACORN:

Should anyone be surprised? The Brooklyn DA is a member of the ACORN/Working Families Party. That means he signed their pledge, and worked for their endorsement.

Call me cynical, but until that “unnamed source” produces what no one else can, proof that Giles and O’Keefe framed those Brooklyn ACORN workers, I’m inclined to go with the bias theory.
