Returning to the Capitol after seven hours of back-and-forth debate with Republicans, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) decided it was time to quit hiding his disdain for Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.).

Exiting an elevator en route to votes, Schumer was complaining loudly about Coburn’s performance in the summit to Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) and anyone else in ear shot/the metro D.C. area. Arms flailing, the senior senator from New York was spouting out statistics he felt Coburn made up and putting on a show for the few straggling reporters left in the Capitol around 8.
