It is being widely reported that progressive Senators are pushing for the use of the reconciliation process to push through the controversial Health Care Reform plan.
At the same time, President Obama is calling Republicans to meet with him at a Health Care summit on February 25. If the President is serious about his calls for a bipartisan approach to Health Care Reform then it would only seem reasonable that he speak out in opposition to any attempt to push the current Health Care Reform bill through without any cooperation or input from the GOP.
You simply cannot have it both ways Mr. President. Either you are sincere about a bipartisan approach to Health Care Reform or you are in favor of pushing through the current plan by reconciliation.
President Obama: will you speak out against the current Senate push for reconciliation? If not, how can anyone believe you are sincere about bipartisanship?
