Hey I am so thrilled I found your website, I really found you by error, while I was researching on Google for something else, Anyhow I am here now and would just like to say many thanks for a fantastic post and a all round interesting blog (I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to go through it all at the minute but I have bookmarked it and also added your RSS feeds, so when I have time I will be back to read more, Please do keep up the superb work.

The veil, fixed in the 19th century by the French as a symbol of Islam’s primitive backwardness, was used to justify the brutal pacification of north African Muslims and to exclude them from full citizenship. Geoffrey Brahm Levey and Tariq Modood, the editors of Secularism, Religion and Multicultural Citizenship, write: “How Muslims are perceived today is connected to how they have been perceived and treated by European empires and their racial hierarchies.”

Speaking of Capacities, says Hal Barton, every Christian is the world knows that Jesus Christ is, according to all Christian beliefs, God – He is God. Yup, another Evangelical. Speak for yourself, would you? The Roma Catholic Church hold fast to the Jewish Bible, what you call the "old" testament — there's nothing old about it for real Christians. And since the Q'ran was written from that Jewish Bible, most Christians will have to accept it, too.

Well said, Peter: A very black page in our history books. There are more: NL was the last to outlaw slavery, colonized East and West Indies and half of Belgium, fought a ridiculous colonial war against Indonesia.
To William: Now, sixty years later, very few are charmed by deportations like GW keeps proposing. I like to think that we now have learned our lesson and will not allow GW to take us back to our own historical darkness .
