I’m up out of my chair again. DutchNews.nl has a breaking story: The Dutch government collapsed early Saturday morning, setting up new elections for March.
The Dutch government collapsed in the early hours of Saturday morning over Labour’s insistence that the Netherlands pull out of Afghanistan this year.
After two days of intensive talks and a bitter parliamentary debate, it had become increasingly clear the gulf between prime minister Jan Peter Balkenende and deputy prime minister Wouter Bos was too great to bridge…
…’I have to conclude that there is no fruitful path to allow this cabinet to continue,’ Balkenende said in a short statement…
…The prime minister will now offer his government’s resignation to the queen, who is skiing in Lech, Austria.
This event sets up the real possibility that the outspoken Parliamentarian (photo above) Geert Wilders, who is under criminal indictment and in trial by his own government, could become the Prime Minister of The Netherlands and his PVV Freedom Party, which advocates stopping the flood of Muslim immigration and the Islamization of The Netherlands, could come to power.
Maybe it’s not over yet in Europe.

As for his persecutors, corrupting Rule of Law in bad faith under false pretenses, the sooner Dutch parliamentary representatives under Wilders as PM abolish totalitarian thought police, the sooner Europe may confront the greatest menace to its people since the Siege of Vienna in 1684.

I'm sorry to dash anyone's hopes for a racist extreme right-wing government in the Netherlands, but no one is willing to work together with Geert Wilders. Without a coalition, the PVV will not get into power.
As a Dutch citizen, I will fight for tolerance and freedom. And if anyone paid any attention to the left-wing, you could see that they're actually on their way on forming a coalition government. The local elections in March should tell more about what the results will be in the national elections in May/June. However, the PVV is only taking part in a couple of districts–they couldn't get enough support to take part in more cities.
I think most Dutch citizens still have some sense in them and realise certain extremist individuals (Geert Wilders included) are the problem, not a religion.

Give it up! Since when was Geert Wilders right-wing? Just because he is anti-muslim does not make him right-wing. With any luck, his party wins a landslide victory if even for a period of time to corral the stupidity with regards to hate speech laws and accommodation of immigrants in general.

I do not regard Mr. Wilders are being "anti-muslim". Rather he is pro-truth. It has become an insane state of affairs when the citizens of a country become like sheep in order to "feel" politically neutral. The day that being truthful and displaying integrity becomes a "problem" and extremist, is the day where a population should just pack it up and consider themselves extinct. As the Islamic tidal wave in The Neatherlands washes over the population, it is apparent that they are choosing to embrace the doctrine of Islamic religious rule by terrorism and destruction. Knowing the Netherlands, and greatly respecting most things I've ever heard from any Dutch citizen, I believe you. Wilders can certainly rock the boat, and some version of his policies on Muslims will surely reach the statute book, but he's a one-trick pony and will never have real influence in the Tweede Kamer.

Wm., I've re-read my post carefully and cannot find the part where I made any predictions about how the Dutch people will vote. I've posed the questions, "Is Geert Wilders going to be the next Prime Minister?" I don't know if he will be or not. The Dutch folks will decide what they want at the polls. The results of the 2008 American Presidential election are in and Mr. Obama is the President. I accept that he was nominated and elected. I don't have to agree with his administrative policies or political philosophy, and I do not agree with them.

For me the crux of this issue is the black and white nature of Islam. There is no compromise: you are either a Muslim fighting jihad against "ignorance" (i.e. Western values, etc) or your are an infidel (a supporter of "ignorance"). The crux, in the Qur'an is:
4:76: “Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject Faith fight in the cause of Evil: so fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan.”
Even "moderate" Muslims must agree (with the Qur'an) that infidel are inferior and Muslims superior – the only other alternative is that the Qur'an is flawed (which in Islam means apostasy).
Most Muslims are living in a fantasy world supported by well meaning Westerners. They maintain that the Qur'an is infallible, yet when you point out that their own faith compels them to adopt an aggressive, separatist view of the non-Muslim world (separate dress, separate food, don't take infidel as friends, etc.) they deny there is a even problem. That is, the MAJORITY of Muslims living in the West do so with bad faith – knowing their moral and religious ideas are logically untenable.
Muslims must either condemn parts of the Qur'an as a flawed and immoral, or admit that Islam – in its unrevised form – is incompatible with Western life and values. Geert Wilders is right, much of the Qur'an should be ripped out – by Muslims. Unfortunately, we assist them in their religious delusions.
It is sad that many of those who are drumming the beat of islamophobia and promoting imperialistic invasions and wars are Jews who not so long ago suffered from atrocities that started and fueled by a similar paranoid propaganda.
I have debated with Robert Spencer, Bill Warner, Ali Sina and their ilk and demonstrated beyond doubt that the so-called gang terrorism is a pretext used by the coalition of warmongers (Crusaders, Multinational corporations, USA Mlitary Industrial Complex and Zionists) to invade, exploit and plunder of Muslim countries.

Edip Yuksel, I doubt you understand very much at all about war or warfare. As a former US Marine, I can tell you that no one in their right mind wants to go to war or advocates for any arbitrary war. Nonetheless, the Dutch would still be under Nazism if it wasn't for the brave young men of America who lost their lives going to war to free Europe. Were they also "warmongers?"
Being opposed to those Muslims who wish to kill Jews, Christians or any other infidel is not "warmongering" and it is simplistic of you to promote it as such. You should know better.
