Steely Irony has got it right on! The two countries loathe each other. And why should such a pissy little no-count island like Britain have the right to impose its language on the USA? It's time that Americans should be proud enough and strong enough to create their own language. It's the only way to finally be rid of this colonial legacy. I say, end ALL connexions between the two countries. Enough is enough.

The British people are so divided and screwed, but UNIFIED in their conviction that America is the root of all evil. Time to re-think how we think about the Brits. I (unfortunately) have to travel to the UK frequently for business reasons, and I know for a fact that the average Brit sure has made his/her mind up about us Americans.

More than ever, Britain is a SMALL island run by even SMALLER people. These days, it REALLY, REALLY SHOWS.

You sure know how to lie. He may not have been waterboarded but ha definitely beaten and shoved
around. The other thing you left out was his genitals were sliced with a scalpel (confirmed by doctors). I
doubt that you view that as torture. I recommend you give it a try. You say that CIA agents aren't sadists
but I believe anyone who condones or uses that type of torture is a sadist. Before you write something it
would help to research some before spouting off. Although I suspect that you were aware of the genital
mutiliation but it didn't fit your agenda.

Unfortunately the MSM has not learned that the public is tired of reading and listening to their biased viewpoints masquerading as journalism, they fail to realize that decreasing ad revenues and readership are a result of not practicing journalistic integrity. The British are afraid of upsetting their growing muslim minority.

As a Brit I have to tell you something – most British people do NOT singalaonga "Poor me" with this Binyam guy. But the British press do! Even those on the right. Our press is just about the most corrupt crowd of pompous, supercilious wastes of space ever, and the present government is running scared of it.

I don't think Tony Blair was half as intimidated by them as Gordon Brown's lot are. So now, as the Iraq Inquiry reveals very little actually, and the press are competing to find the smoking gun pointing at Blair's head, the press are getting their own back on Blair and colleagues for "being fooled by him". They are sure now that he wasn't really a "pretty straight kind of a guy". Oh no. They are right in that. He didn't approve of terrorism, and was pretty straight about it.

And the press CAN now get their own back because Brown's government, just before an election, will not rile those voters who get upset about being insulted. And I'm not referring to torture here – just those who get upset about being insulted. The Conservatives here are just as useless, imho.

Multiculturalism started decades ago in Britain, in the 1950s. Islamist fundamentalism was brooding and breeding since the mid-60s. Other governments apart from this one had plenty of opportunity to do something about it. Instead we allowed ourselves to be persuaded that given a free country and a legal system separate from Government interference, civil and human rights protected by the law, that incomers would eventually WANT to share and care about those values. Many do, some don't.

If you doubt that the British liberally top-heavy press has an over-powerful hand in Britain's losing of the way, take a quick look and see if you can find anything in the British papers about the ogoing trial of Geert Wilders in the Netherlands. A trial for insulting Muslims. Nope? I am writing on it now.
