Alas, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (pictured above with Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal) is fretting over the growing influence of military power within the Iranian government.  The lady doth worry and her brow doth furrow greatly. Yet, she’s apparently not at all concerned about the ideology that lies at the foundation of the entire Iranian State.  In fact she’s blind to it, she’s deaf to it and apparently did not receive Lt Colonel Allen West’s memo from a few days ago.

The Secretary of State cannot be familiar with the works of Oriana Fallaci, Bat Ye’or, Robert Spencer, Andrew Bostom, or Diana West, though their published elucidations of The Problem have been available to the public for years.  Had Ms. Clinton even the most elementary understanding of The Problem, her public pronouncements and concerns would be much different than they are. But our poor Ms. Clinton has not a clue about It, and she does not ever talk about It – “It” being the verboten “I” word.  Here is the Washington Post’s story of Madame Secretary’s fears:

Iran is increasingly acquiring the attributes of a “military dictatorship,” Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton asserted repeatedly Monday, pointing to how the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has grabbed ever-larger chunks of the country’s economic, military and political life.

Clinton’s statements, made first in Qatar, then to reporters traveling with her and again after meeting with Saudi King Abdullah at his desert winter retreat here, were clearly a calculated effort to stir the waters in the administration’s stalled effort to win support for new sanctions on Iran over its nuclear ambitions.

Clinton appeared to be trying both to sound the alarm within Iran about the Guard’s increased influence — perhaps hoping to drive a wedge between the Guard and the rest of the political elite –…”

Ah, yes.  But how will Madame Secretary drive a wedge between the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and the bellicose, anti-American, anti-Jewish, anti-Infidel doctrines of Islam, as put forth in the Koran and the Hadithe?  Now that would be a neat trick, indeed.

Ms. Clinton seeks to address the Problem by diverting attention from the one-thousand three-hundred eighty-eight year history of Islam’s War Against Infidels, which began about 622 A.D. with the Battle of Badr.  Rather, she quibbles with which faction of the Iranian government seemingly dictates policy – and ignores the inevitable influence that Islam will exert, no matter which branch claims superiority.  Her fretting ignores the Theocratic foundation of the Islamic State.

To use Lt. Colonel West’s analogy, without acknowledgement and study of Islamic Doctrine by the Powers That Be in our own government, we continue to chase our tails.
