Dr. John Drew, a political scientist at Occidental College, reports on young Barack Obama’s marxist perspective in the Fall of 1980.

“At the time he was already an ardent Marxist arguing a pretty straightforward vision of the future that saw a revolution led by lower classes to overthrow our capitalist system.”

Elaborating on Obama’s ideology,

“The idea was basically that wealthy people were exploiting others. That this was the secret of their wealth, that they weren’t paying others enough for their work, and they were using and taking advantage of other people. He was convinced that a revolution would take place, and it would be a good thing.”

Thirty years later Obama’s goals and ideas remain focused on “soaking the rich” and sparking revolution through class warfare. In his world, there are only “working families” and the “wealthy.”

“I just want you to be clear – it’s not that I want to punish your success – I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you – that they’ve got a chance at success too…. I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”
