Modesty Or Terrorist Cover-Up? New “Fatwa” Discourages Muslims Going Through Airport Body Scanners
All who want to go through a full body scan, with some stranger gawking at your worn out birthday suit–raise your hand!
What? No takers? Surely the humiliation we suffered in middle school gym class would have prepared you for full body scans later in life.
You forged a doctor’s excuse? Me too!
Don’t worry, with the help of organizations like Islamic Center of America (ICOA), and CAIR, these scanners will be easier to get around than your old gym teacher.
In direct response to the attempted bombing of an aircraft on Christmas day, by a Muslim from Nigeria, 450 scanners are reportedly due to be installed in American airports. Nonetheless, Muslims believe they should be exempt.
According to freep.com:
“The Fiqh Council of North America – a body of Islamic scholars that includes some from Michigan – issued a fatwa this week that says going through the airport scanners would violate Islamic rules on modesty. “It is a violation of clear Islamic teachings that men or women be seen naked by other men and women,” reads the fatwa issued Tuesday.”
“Two members of the Fiqh Council are from Michigan, Imam Hassan Qazwini of the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, and Imam Ali Suleiman Ali of the Canton Mosque. “Fiqh” means Islamic jurisprudence.”
“The Council on American-Islamic Relations, which has a chapter in Michigan, says it endorses the fatwa.”
“We support the Fiqh Council’s statement on full-body scanners and believe that the religious and privacy rights of passengers can be respected while maintaining safety and security,” said Nihad Awad, national executive director of CAIR.”
What good is setting up these scanners if CAIR, which has ties to Hamas, gives Muslim’ terrorists a free pass, while your old gym teacher will step behind the screen thinking her cooperation is helping to keep America safe?

I think this is easy. Just ban Moslums who follow this fatwa from flying. Thier religious confictions are observed and my safety is preserved (somewhat).
Yes, indeed. The PC knuckling under to Islam goes on and on and….
Nice Work, Rhonda

If they have to travel, then they can either walk or drive. Don't risk the safety of millions of other Americans though.
We don’t have the “right” to fly. If you want to fly you must adhere to the rules. Real simple. Yet on the other hand (totaly off subject) When we are forced to buy auto insurance it is because we “Choose” to drive. When we (soon enough) are forced to buy health insurance when you don’t (really) have a choice to breathe or not. THAT is a violation. Putting you to the scanner? Don’t do it…but don’t expect to fly either.
I have to admit, I'm real uncomfortable with it on several levels. But I would gladly comply, if I knew everyone had to. That way, either they are caught, or are detoured from trying.
Our tolerance and understanding is reaching its end Muslims.
We do not want to submit to this either, so why don't you talk your brothers into stopping the airline terrorism?
No I think it makes sense to exempt all Muslims from full-body scanning on Koranic modesty grounds.
I mean, when did you last hear of a Muslim committing an act of violence or terrorism?
The real domestic security threats are pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, anti-illegal immigration whites.
It's right there in Janet Napolitano's report:
http://www.fas.org/irp/eprint/rightwing.pdf
I suggest the TSA concentrate on pro-life conventions and tea-parties.
This is simple. You have a right to travel and a right to your privacy. But when you buy a ticket for an airliner, you are voluntarily entering into a commercial contract and you're agreeing to abide by the carrier's rules. If you don't like those rules, don't contract with the carrier. You're free to travel to your destination any way you can manage, but you don't have a right to do it via a commercial carrier. (You do have a right to contract with the carriers, but once contracting with one, don't have a right to avoid their rules because you've already agreed, when entering the contract, to abide by them.) Don't like the rules the carrier will impose on you? Don't contract with the carrier.
The TSA should not allow any exceptions. I think they should be scanning bus and train passengers as well.
The "religious" argument just doesn't make any sense. We aren't talking porn here, it is like an x ray, nothing sexy about it. Think of it as looking at a sculpture of humanity in all different shapes and sizes.
Muslims need to get over themselves, no one is interested in getting their jollies looking at black and white images of people for a living. Especially since they will be looking specifically for weapons and potential bombs.
By the way in my opinion Muslim women should never be given a pass since the latest info is that they may have the bombs implanted in breasts.
I have been a nurse since 1988 and seen people naked every day since then, it is no big deal, just part of the job.
I agree. I have been a nurse for 36 years, and would rather see a person nicely dressed than naked at this point.
oh oh, we are falling into our own made trap, because we have the freedom of religion. will that be taken away too. you can see it already. i am glad i am old and will die soon, because i will not see whats going to happen to us, unless of course the, THE COMING OF THE LORD COMES LIKE THESE EVANGELIST SAY.
WOW!! Whether its the government, TSA, or the body scanners…………….Only ALLAH(swat) can potect us ALL!
NO PERSON should get a free pass regardless of their religion. The rules must apply to everyone!Submit to scanning or find a different way to travel.
Since when in this country is one group of people given "special rights" over others?
Silly me.
If the Constitution meant something to those who create the law (instead of proffering lawyers) it would be a moot issue.
Good, let them refuse to go through. Let them be like me. If they don't want to go through the scanners, they don't fly, ever.
That's why I don't intend to ever fly again. However, unlike the Muslim's, my refusal is grounded in something more reasonable. As an ex-radiology tech, I won't go through any radiation machine that the operator hasn't been through a certified radiological school, and understands how it works, and has professional ethics.
I'm glad you brought up that point. I wondered about that. I was always careful about how many x-rays my kids had, simply because it adds up over a lifetime.
The health concerns for people who fly a lot because of their jobs, need to be addressed.
I do think a combination of profiling and scanning is going to be necessary.
Joseph, not just the yearly and lifetime cummulative doses need to be considered, but the fact that the
scanners are open and the area as far as I can see is not shielded. I will never subject myself to a machine where not only are the skills and background of the operator in question, but the machine and radiological (medical equipment) components service and maintenance is managed by federal employees. We all know the limitations of the federal government and it's employees.
Dont' wait until it's too late to turn this around – you have a closet muslem in the white house- nothing will change until he is out along weith Janet and others!
Just a concerned Canadian observer of American going ons
What a lying POS Awad is.
Every jihadist–whether they've chosen, as adults, to continue believing what no rational adult could possibly believe (the Qur'an) or they've really gone off the deep end and 'reverted'–is doing their very best to carry out Islam's 'divinely' mandated warfare against the filthy kuffar. And he knows it.
