Michael van der Galien was born in the Dutch city of Leeuwarden in 1984. For as long as he can remember, he has been obsessed with the United States. When he was 17 years old, he started blogging - of course about America. His articles have been published at Big Hollywood, Pajamas Media, Hot Air (the GreenRoom) and Right Across The Atlantic. He's also an editor for the Dutch conservative blog, De Dagelijkse Standaard.

“It’s not about Republicans and Democrats; it’s the progressive movement.” Glenn’s 100% right about that.

Oh my, he’s now talking about Meghan McCain. She called herself a progressive Republican. When she described her views, she really meant a socially liberal Republican. Progressives and social liberals aren’t (necessarily) the same thing.

Having said that, it seems to me that Meghan is moving increasingly towards progressivism.

Beck also talked about Meghan earlier today. From his daily newsletter:

Meghan McCain is like, so totally progressive
When a valley girl stumbles into politics, it’s never pretty. Meghan McCain took to The View recently, trying to show that like, shopaholics can so totally be involved in politics. The problem with this, is like, she so totally is filled with arrogance and displays an astonishing lack of respect for the elderly. Glenn plays the audio. America weeps. Glenn responds. ( Transcript, Insider Audio).
