My previous employer had us sit through a presentation from the local sanitation department about recycling. I asked if there were plans to monitor recycling and she responded "Not yet". By the way this is happening in England. Neighbors are ratting out neighbors for improper recycling. In my neighborhood, certain "concerned citizens" are walking around and checking out our recycling bins. Then they report to the neighborhood newsletter that residents are placing their bins out and they are not 75% filled.

At the superbowl party I attended I stated while watching this commercial "That's where we're going". One person's response was "It's a good thing." I just have to chuckle to myself-geez, and they had a problem with the Bush policy of eavesdropping on suspected terrorist can you only imagine getting arrested because your grandchild puts a plastic bottle in with the paper. Yikes-but I guess that is o.k. after all the government really needs to protect us from ourselves not from possible terrorists.

Very good-I think you should run with it and possibly have it aired during Ramadan. Very seriously though, I just wonder if in the commercial the so called "police" had brownshirts and armbands more people would have had some pause. I just cannot believe that it is really going this way and I am not sure why. Where has all reason gone?????

I wonder if the lefties would enjoy a Muslim Satire commercial. You know it could be a commercial for haircuts , lets say. You see the Muslim religious police walking through the streets with large sticks measuring a guys beard. OMG! Not long enough! 10 wacks! (Sound track of laughs) But wait! These guys are obviously gay! 100 wacks and then publicly hang them.(Sounds of hysterical laughs from sound track) Some woman has a snippet of hair showing under her burka. 50 wacks and a trial for being an obvious harlot! (Sound track of applause with righteous yelling in the back ground). Then we see some little tyke with a fresh new haircut being fitted to a bomb.(Soundtrack of people going ,"Awwww!"

Oh wait. That's not satire. Thats reality. Maybe if the 'green police' were wearing Obama brown shirts we would take it more seriously.

A PERFECT example of the new U.S.A Commie humor some find extremely funny while ignoring the hidden truth below the surface, and good reason for this. Just another 'politically correct' propaganda machine 'desensitizing' the masses to 'accept what they cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference'...and hopefully they will fall in line like good sheep to the slaughter house when it is time.
Look at the 'comedians' today! Making big bucks and occupying massive airtime capturing the Kool aid drinkers attention while back at the D.C. ranch, all is not well, but WHO CARES? Reality is just not as entertaining and funny as the artsy fartsy machines propagating propaganda! Otherwise, why would National Endowment for the Arts suddenly be used and utililized by this regime to make nicey nice about all the issues of dire concern to create and manipulate the masses attitudes on upcoming gloom and doom of overtaxed, overspending, big biz bailouts, loss of freedom and sovereignty in this country? Oh go on!..We dont want any of THAT, now do we? This means we would actually have to CONFRONT what is REAL...unlike those 'reality' shows sheeple believes and is so crazy about!

The ad is most definitely NOT satire. Please look up what that word means! Satire is an attack, via humor, on something of which the author strongly disapproves.

Audi's view of the matter is crystal-clear on the company's web page devoted to the Green Police:
---
While the Audi Green Police will be reaching over 100 million on Super Bowl Sunday, we hope that their efforts provide even a fraction of the benefits that the everyday official green police units in the United States, the United Kingdom, Vietnam and Israel are having in educating their populace and enforcing environmental protection laws within their own countries.
---

In fact, go ahead and read the entire page. Audi admits that their portrayal of environmentalism is a "caricature" (at least for now), and claims that Gestapo tactics are "humorous." Nevertheless, Audi consistently sings the praises of the Green Police. Audi makes clear that it fully agrees with and approves of all the work of the environmental movement worldwide.

I feel an overwhelming urge to switch off all the lights, and hide in the closet: I live in Massachusetts, where there are waaayyyyyyyyy too many people who would gladly volunteer to be "Green Police".

The commercial had me scratching my head. I knew it was satire, but I couldn't get my head around what or who the target was supposed to be. The message seemed confusing. Now if it had been an ad for the AMC Humvee it might have made more sense. The punchline could show a Hummer running over one of those Green Police cars and the pitch could be something like, "Drive what you like--A Humvee." A double-edged commercial. It sells cars AND riles up greenies!
