As always, Pat Condell is 100% right on. My Father died fighting for these freedoms we are now so callously throwing away. We must, each one of us, fight to stop this madness. Why isn't the mainstream media reporting daily on this trial and the destruction it is causing?
The MSM is either in cohoots with the radical imams of this world – or they are just deaf, blind & dumb – or both!! This is a horror story unfolding before our eyes. Where are the voices that should be raised in outcry for this insanity?!? AT some point, when the Tea Party movement also considers issues that are vital in foreign affairs, theirs would/should be the logical voice of outrage, spurred by a deep and passionate love for freedom for people everywhere suffering from government intolerance and oppression.

I've wrote to the British Embassy in the Hague about this – Europe's first heresy show-trial since the Spanish inquisition.
If anyone else would like to write to their embassy in the Netherlands I'm sure this will have a great impact.

Dear Sirs,
Fear of Truth, Facts and Free Speech
I am writing to you to voice my dismay and incredulity at the events taking place at the trial of Geert Wilders in Amsterdam. What is of greatest concern is not the court’s dim view of freedom of speech – which is worrying enough – but its apparent willingness to decide matters according to religious beliefs rather than according to the truth and facts of the matter.
If it is a crime for Mr Wilders to cause religious embarrassment, then perhaps the trial judges should openly declare Mr Wilder's trial a religious prosecution for heresy – for this is most certainly what it appears to be.
This matter is no longer merely a concern for Dutch justice, but for UK and European justice too. Are European citizens now to be denied access to facts and the truth whenever religious freedom comes into the frame – for if so, we no longer live in a free democracy but, for all intents and purposes, in a secularly enforced theocracy.
I would like to quote a section from the video blog of Pat Condell, whose sense of indignation I share and wish to convey to you:
“When the truth is against the law, then there is something seriously wrong with the law. Because when the truth is no defense, there is no defense and the law has no anchor – so it will drift wherever the wind of political expedience blows […] Justice will now be made to fight for its life, starved of the oxygen of truth which gives it life.” (P. Condell)
I believe Mr Condell is right. Freedom of speech is being asphyxiated, purely for the purposes of political expediency and cultural relativism. Muslims may well be offended by what Mr Wilders has said, but many people, like myself, are even more offended that our democratic birthright and our cultural disposition towards tolerance are being trampled upon – not by extremists, but by the very people who should be governing and protecting us.
I hope pressure will be applied to make bring this damaging show trial to an end. Whatever the final result, the continuance of Mr Wilder's prosecution can only serve to damage democracy, religious freedom and cultural toleration. This trial is divisive, and it should be recognized and treated as such.
I hope the British Embassy will work towards annulling this trial – which should never have convened in the first place – and bring it to a rapid, even if unsatisfactory, conclusion.

Thank you for writing that letter to the Embasy and caring enough to make that effort. I think more of us who are outraged about this trial should send letters also. Send them to your newspaper, or a television Channel ! have phoned my paper , the Seattle Times, before the trial and sent them an e-mail right after the trial. Since they didn't publish anything , I am now about to sent a regular letter to the Editor giving that paper a very tactful hell for not even mentioning the Wilders case . I doubt it will carry much weight however, because that paper is a leftist boring rag . According to them, Obama can do no wrong .
I don't think that trial is going to get the attention it deserves , though, untill people get over that "sensitivity training " they have had drilled into their brains for the past 8 years or so. We should be more "sensitive " to Muslim feelings–don't you know ? I mean, everybody knows they are being picked on all the time ! How sickening …
