Why was a Yarmulke Photoshopped onto David Horowitz’s Head For the Cover of this Smear Book?

At JihadWatch Robert Spencer has a great post taking apart a new self-published book attacking him, David Horowitz, and other anti-Jihad activists.
Why was the jacket photograph of Horowitz from A Cracking of the Heart distorted and a yarmulke inserted? Horowitz is not religious and does not wear yarmulkes. I think I know why.

The author of the book reads Front Page. I read one of his comments a few weeks ago, and it was absolutely disgraceful. He poses as this erudite rational intellectual Muslim who decries the violence caused by other Muslims, and yet he lives in Tempe Arizona, teaches at ASU, and still spouts the same hateful crap that we hear from Iran…
To me, guys like this are simply the forward element of the Islamic invasion. He's doing the same thing here for Islam, that David Horowitz said academia is doing for the progressives. Frankly, I consider this guy to be an enemy combatant.
I just found the article on Fron Page that I was referring to. Its title was:
"For Bigots, Israel Can Do No Right"
His comments appear on the 2nd page of the comments section up near the top.
We've seen how the progressive intellectual elite deal with the truth and history. This creep is the Islamic equivalent of those lowlifes, who's simply trying to brainwash our students about the so called "religion of peace", which is tantamount to fattening us up for the slaughter.
Every teacher in this country who's indoctrinating our children with lies and distorted versions of America's history should be deported to a Communist nation.
Great site David I hope to have free time to explore it further. Discrimination against Jews is
reprehensible. To discriminate against anyone for reasons other than what that person is doing
which may adversely effect you is a sign of developmental psychosis which may be said to
be syndrom "X'd in the head". It is down hill from birdbrain flu. American Jews who are proudly
builders of this nation along with other American historical groups which melted into the
greater society have been and are equal to all and anyone I have ever met bar none. We all have
those in our background that are in the wrong such as leftists, they need to be corrected but not
on a racial or religious basis. Islam on the other hand does not meld into our society and are
nothing but colonizers. It must hurt our Jewish Patriot brothers and sisters to see this kind of

So is this like a real book or one of those vanity publications? Anyone can publish a book about damn near anything under the sun. I'm too lazy to do to investigate further.
