Lunch Break: A SNL Skit That Might Actually Make You Laugh

Long gone are the days when Saturday Night Live was funnier than the local improv comedy club. With the exception of Andy Samberg and the songs made with his band, The Lonely Island, I considered SNL to be a lost cause. One recent skit shows that hope remains and the show is capable of redeeming itself.

Check out the video above for their sketch about Senator-Elect Scott Brown repeatedly walking into a meeting of Democratic congressional leaders.

Brown has already responded to the sketch.

From The Corner:

“Thank goodness I like a good laugh,” he tells National Review Online. “That was pretty funny. I wish I could host SNL some day. I’ve been watching it since I was young. Jon Hamm is great.” But what about Hamm’s Boston accent? “He did a great job,” says Brown. “He doesn’t really sound like me, but it was very funny.”

Good job, SNL. I still won’t be watching the show, but now when friends email me clips, I’ll give them a chance and watch them instead of deleting them and doing something with a greater chance of being funny, like killing my own team members on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
