Brainwashing America’s Youth: Obama Uses Public Schools To Indoctrinate Students; Required Reading: Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”

2010 January 31

Like all radicals in positions of power, President Obama’s army of citizen volunteers, Organizing for America, is recruiting high school students as interns to organize the President’s agenda in the 2010 election cycle. I quote,

“Organizing for America, the successor organization to Obama for America, is building on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda”

Pam Geller at Atlas Shrugs reports on students at Perry Local High School  in Massillon, Ohio who were given propaganda recruiting papers in government class to enlist students to sign up as interns for Obama’s Organizing for America.

With weekly curricula titled “Strategizing for Effective Change,” “Managing Events,” and “Working With The Media” one wonders exactly what training the students will receive. But you needn’t wonder much further than the next page of the application.

The shocking list of recommended reading during the internship includes

  • Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky
  • Stir It Up: Lessons from Community Organizing and Advocacy, Rinku Sen
  • The New Organizers, Zack Exley
  • Dreams of My Father Chicago Chapters, Barack Hussein Obama
  • Obama Field Organizers Plot a Miracle, Zack Exley, Huffington Post
  • A Strategic Approach to Collective Action by James M. Jasper
  •

Under the pretense of “Earn credit for school and help change the world!” Obama is mobilizing America’s youth to campaign for his agenda and assist re-election of Democrat’s in 2010, while indoctrinating them into Saul Alinsky’s radical tactics and ideology.

OFA’s high school recruitment is eerily similar to their college intern recruitment last fall across the country to “build support for President Obama’s agenda” – and earn college credit while advocating for “change.”

Conforming to Saul Alinsky’s guidelines in Rules for Radicals, Obama and OFA are establishing a base of power to solidify their reins of power and control.

“[W]e are concerned with how to create mass organizations to seize power We are talking about a mass power organization which will change the world…This means revolution.” [emphasis mine]

Like many radical rulers before him, President Obama is establishing his own civilian youth brigade. Is this the civilian army he spoke of during his campaign? Young children singing his praises, or marching in youth regiments is not enough. When will recruitment begin for elementary and middle school kids?

Every parent reading this article and the comments should wonder…
It's 8 AM, school is in session, what are they teaching my children?
He who controls the youth owns the future…Hitler

      • February 2, 2010

Nice quote from Hitler. Also, nice that you refer to Obama, our Nations president by peoples vote, as Hitler. Are you afraid of a black man as a president? Try referring to G. W. Bush as “the one who controls the youth”. He’s the one that sent all of our young un-trained soldiers overseas to die. For a war that should be there civil war. It’s called “revolution”. We helped level the field. Now let’s let nature take its course and let civil war take place. Those countries have been at war forever because the United States keeps prolonging it.

        • February 2, 2010

Why does everyone refer to Obama as a black president.? Last time I checked, Obama was half white/half black. How does that make him black? I could care less if he's purple, he has a very scarey agenda! Can't you see that his ideology is Marxist?

        • February 2, 2010

I'm sorry, is this article about George W. Bush and Iraq? Weird how you try to segway away from the real issue into….yet again…Bush. Sorry, too bad, not related, AT ALL. Tu quoque fallicious argument.

    2. January 31, 2010

This needs to go viral. I am sending this to everyone on my e-mail list.

      • February 2, 2010

Viral for what? Because our government schools are teaching government relations? Teach away. That’s what I pay my taxes for. Besides, you’re going to flip over what a website that refers to our nation’s president as “Bringer of Light” (a.k.a. the Latin meaning of Satan). That’s a very patriotic site to trust in. They’re afraid of changing what hasn’t worked for decades so they refer to our nation’s leader as Satan.

        • February 2, 2010

Because it's wrong, that's why. They are teaching Obama relations, not government relations. Clearly an abuse of government power. Cheating and brainwashing children is a Nazi/Bolshevik tactic. To put it intoa perspective you can wrap your head around, substitute GWB for Obama and say that was ok. You can't unless you lie. Hasn't worked? what, the ductaion system? No, really? Are you Rip Vanwinkle? Every conservative alive has been saying that for years. You wake up out of your slumber since the Carter administration and somehow think the educational flaws introduced and fully supported over the years by LIBERALS are the fault of conservatives? I think not. What does trust have to do with facts? This document is real whether you like the source or not.

          February 2, 2010

I referred to Obama as neither Satan nor "Bringer of Light." Get your facts straight.

    3. January 31, 2010

Government schools will promote the government agenda, and being Obama is in charge it's gonna get more radical. Know what your child is being taught, read their History books and know their teachers.

      • February 2, 2010

Nobody is forcing these kids to sign up for this. There only offering opportunity for education. The only reason it has ties to Obama is because no one else is known to run yet. Otherwise I’m sure that in fairness of choice the schools would offer both campaigning curriculums. And I suppose that no one here would have complaints if John McCain won the election and was doing the same thin. You’re all hypocrites.

        • February 2, 2010

You suppose wrong. Most people here would have the same problem. You are making assumptions based upon your own ideals.

    4. January 31, 2010

You have an amazingly delicate memory, don't you? Go to any Western democracy and you'll find each party has its own youth wing. If you want to make comparisons to the Hitler Youth, you need look no further than Evangelical youth organizations or the Boy Scouts, which encourages social conservative morality.

Now, if you're going to make comparisons to Hitler, you're going to have to do slightly more research. On social issues the Republicans are noticeably closer to Hitler. The Nazis also had a dislike of immigrants and non-heterosexuals. In terms of economics, Hitler was at best a centralist, taking control of industry when it suited him, or using the free market (IBM, etc) for other projects. A certain Italian dictator described fascism as "corporatism".

I had family members in the Hitler Youth (everyone was forced to join, it wasn't a volunteer movement) and they describe it as being more similar to the Boy Scouts and religious youth groups than anything else.

To be fair, both of America's mainline parties have deep connections to large corporations. And before you start throwing around words like "socialist" or "radical", you should note that Obama is further to the right than even the Conservative Party of Canada. In fact, Obama would be "far right" compared to most mainstream right-wing parties in most Western democracies. The social safety net (welfare, health care, etc) is a given in most democracies. Are you saying every right-wing party in the democratic world is socialist except for the Republicans? Do you even know what the word socialist means? Does it frighten you that the only countries that are not "socialist" (by your narrow understanding) are dictatorships?

In the democratic world you people stand alone.

      • January 31, 2010

        LOL…you're funny.

      • February 1, 2010

Do you see any difference at all between the Boy Scouts (a non-government program with volunteer leaders) and Obama using government forced education and our tax dollars to recruit youth for his movement?

The Hitler Youth had strudel at their meetings. I attended a Boy Scout meeting where donuts were served. Therefore, the Boy Scouts are just like the Hitler Youth.

        Please try again, O.T.

        • February 2, 2010

Well, let’s see, the original purpose for Boy scouts as I recall was a civilian way to prepare their youth for disciplined training and structure like the military so our youth would be more likely to join the military. Every man, woman and child was needed to understand war to fend for themselves in those days. And Obama is giving the schools the information for children to sign up for this on their own. THEY ARE NOT BEING FORCED! Don’t any of you read before you go loco? You republicans just see the name Obama and get furious just because you r man lost. “Oh no, it’s the demand Obama. Lord save our souls.” You remind me of the stupid unicorns in the “Charlie the Unicorn” videos. Look it up. You tube.

          • February 2, 2010

Yes, and we have truancy officers who are paid to make sure that every child gets to Boyscouts everyday? Your attempt to morally equivocate the situation is illogical. You're comparing a volunteer, private organization to a federally mandated, taxpayer funded school system? While you're at it, why don't you order a Big Mac at KFC?

      • February 1, 2010

Right wingers do not dislike homosexuals or immigrants. You need to re-read or re-think your beliefs. Generally, conservatives believe that there are legal ways to do things and the people are equal. As for homosexuals-we do not dislike them. We have issues with their political agenda-i.e. "extra rights". As for immigrants-we love them. Most of us are products of immigrants-that came over here legally, learned the language and assimilated into our culture. As for people who sneak in-those are not immigrants, unfortunately-those people broke the laws we have for immigrants and they are law breakers-i.e. criminals.

      • February 1, 2010

Your knowledge of the Democratic Socialist — the Nazi's — movement in Germany in the early twentieth century must fit in a thimble. They weren't conservatives. I'll bet you had family members in the Hitler Youth — do you also know that it met on Sunday mornings and that SS stood outside Churches writing down the names of families with children who entered rather than attending the Hitler Youth meetings? Who else did that… oh, the KGB in the Soviet Union.
The object was to force the malleable mind of children away from their faith and replace it with the state's ideology of hatred. Of course your relatives don't tell you about how the youth were instructed to attack the Jewish children in their town, ostracize those the party chose, or participated in vandalism of Jewish businesses. The employment of peer pressure in the Hitler Youth was an effective weapon against the 'undesireables.'

The Hitler Youth also had co-ed summer camps for properly Aryan teenage boys and girls that were deliberately set up to encourage sex and impregnation of the girls so the Aryan birthrate would go up. But of course, in the the 1930s you'd have to separate these kids from their family values, their religious values, ply them with alcohol, and no one called it rape.

Re-read Mein Kampf, and the Communist Manifesto. Read Marx and Engels and Hitler, and you'll find they emerged from the same political cocoon, and their objectives were the same. Then, compare their objectives and goals with the current administration's agenda. Heck, you can use Marx's list of things to do to transform a country into a Marxist country as a check list for the first year of the Obama agenda for America. The economic and political objectives have more in common than they have different.

You must be one of those fake Christians. Otherwise things happening on Sundays wouldn't really bother you considering your religion is "technically" supposed to have "God's Day" on Saturday. Try "re-reading" the Bible.

          • February 2, 2010

What does that have to do with the fact that they stood outside the church on Sunday to track the movememt of the children and ensure that they were attending the meetings???

      • February 1, 2010

I think it's hilarious that you clicked thumbs down on everyone who decimated your BS with facts O.T. That simply proves you are a brainwashed seminar blogger. Who distributed your tasks for the day today? Axlerod? Emmanuel? You see, we know better. You certainly can feed that "Nazi's were conservatives" garbage to the idiots on Yahooanswers; however, you will find that most readers here have a knowledge base far above the typical city dwelling minions plying for answers to mundane questions that 5th graders (LOL) should be able to answer. So, be proud of yourself as you bask in the glory that is yours. You did it! You finally made it. Your the conductor of the idiot express. Watch out for the tea on the tracks ahead.

        • February 2, 2010

HA HA HA HA HA! The readers hear have knowledge base? Based on what, comics? All of you people that trust this website for facts are idiots to begin with. You web host claims Obama as Satan in his articles. For one that putting your religious beliefs on a complete “apples to oranges” bias OPINION. I haven’t seen any factual evidence from anyone on this fake whining site. Second of all, maybe O.T. was in some Nazi youth thing. Wouldn’t that mean that he would know more about this subject that someone like you that just reads books that people wrote to cover the truth? If O.T. is the “conductor of the idiot express” you must be the guy feeding it the fuel to make it go.

          • February 2, 2010

Wow, ad hominen, meaningless comment with absolutely no substance. Allen, don't call people idiots when you can't discern the difference between the word "hear" and "here". Not to mention the grammatical errors your comments are littered with. EPIC FAIL!

      • February 2, 2010

"Obama is further to the right than even the Conservative Party of Canada."

And what does that say about how screwed up politics is in canada?

      • February 6, 2010

Obama is to the right of the Conservative Party of Canada???__Hmmmm….then why are all the libs up here so critical of Harper and constantly singing praises to Obama? Why waste so much energy? According to you the Conservative Party is a dream come true for libs in the Great White North.Yet once again, liberalism establishes itself as a troubling mental affliction.

    5. January 31, 2010

Very few Americans are inclined to join groups that do not allow free expression.

Those that do, usually think politics is a satisfactory vocation whereby they can gladhand other uninspired individuals, covet young aspiring female (or male) reporters, engage in criminal activities, use catastropies to produce false premises, spend other's money foolishly, stifle free expressions, while promoting a form of child literary molestation.

    6. January 31, 2010

And there are those, of course, without a brain to 'wash.'

we need a plan of counter attack, send some sort of mail to parents, families across the country and warn them about this!

      • February 2, 2010

Counter attack? There was a war started? Republican parents! Lock up your kids! They may learn something! And start spamming every one you know. Because junk mail from people you know and love will be read unlike the junk you get from dating site. (Like someone did to me. Therefore because worthless crap is mailed to me about stupid stuff like this web site, you all pay for my mercy.) A.k.a. you just make people mad, not informed.

    8. February 1, 2010

The willful ignorance on the part of folks like OT is staggering. So terribly naive and shortsighted. Leaves me speechless. What to do? Pray for them, I guess.

      • February 2, 2010

Pray for yourself. Your useless 2 cents are just you way of fallowing the herd. Hope a wolf finds you. The sheep are over populated.

    9. February 1, 2010

It's 8am, and your student has just barely made it to class on time, has a cup of coffee in his hand, and is still so asleep that he or she won't listen to the teacher, must less care about politics. If they are awake, they won't shut up, and will force the teacher to send them to the principals office for disrupting class.

Don't worry too much about it, high school kids are too smart to fall for this crap, and only the dumb ones will even look at it.

      • February 2, 2010

"Don't worry too much about it, high school kids are too smart to fall for this crap, and only the dumb ones will even look at it. "

So your opinions on polotics are coorect and everyone elses are wrong? You must be God himself!

        MORON!(Bahh!)

        • February 2, 2010

          Allen said- "polotics are coorect"

The second one may be a typo, the first, not so much. MORON!

        • February 2, 2010

I didn't say that I was totally right, I just explained what the typical junior high and high school student does at 8am in the morning. I've been a substitute teacher for a year, and what I wrote about is what happens everytime I sub for a teacher.

The kids talk all period, don't do any work, and if you try to give them a quiz, they don't do it.

Unlike when we were kids, these kids don't respect teachers, and have been known to threaten subs and regular teachers. The good kids sit back and stay quiet, and do their work, but when you have whole classes of loudmouth's, then you don't really need to worry much about radical teachers. The kids will do just enough work to show that they might be paying attention, but then after class, they'll dump the books, and go back to their texting.

And since you couldn't think of anything better to do than call me a Moron, then I'd like to know what contact you have with students in schools.

    10. February 1, 2010

I do programs to groups, alerting them to the three-prong assault on our education system. The 60's
radicals understood that whom ever controls our education system will eventually control our country.
Too many of those radicals (some even convicted felons) are tenured professors. We have Williams Ayers as a leader of their program to turn the public schools into podiums to promote their radical agendas. Don't think they are not being successful. The radicals already are in control of a LARGE number of colleges and universities, and even down K-12. Joining the radicals are the Islamists (California 7th graders study Islam for 2 weeks and pray to Allah…, and study Christianity for 2 days), and the radical homosexual lobby had declared the education system as their next battle ground.

WE MUST challenge their every move and defeat them. Get informed. For starters read "Indoctrination U" by David Horowitz. Read "Stealth Jihad" by Robert Spencer. Those will get you a good start. Press all
education institutions to adopt and ENFORCE the student Bill of Right in "Indoctrination U".

It is a war we must win.

      • February 2, 2010

Let me guess, you live in a shack in the woods? Why does everyone here use the word "radical". Well let me tell you. It's becouse all of you believethat the world is black and white. Things iether happen your way (the right way), or the "radical" way(the wrong way). When in reality, the world is in color. There are a vast amount of "differant" and "correct" answers. And obviosely not all of your beliefs are correct. Otherwise there would not be other opinions. Everyone would all agree. But then people like you find the need to find something to complain about. So even when you are right, you'll find something to dissagree about. That's the life of a republican. You all stick out like sore thumbs next to a hundred feet.

    11. February 1, 2010

      Great article as always Liz!

      • February 2, 2010

WOW! This was the stupidest post I've ever seen. I've read threads about how to bread betas that was more exciting than this. I think my IQ dropped reading this page and replying to idiots. You're all sheep in a baron field. Your ways will fade in time. And the fields will grow again.

        • February 2, 2010

You should probably stop reading. Based upon the number of misspelled words, you can't afford to lose anymore intelligence. Is your name Charlie and do you have a mouse named Algernon?

    12. February 2, 2010

I love arguments pitting hollow insults against facts. Very instructive.

    13. March 7, 2010

Communism, we are all going to suffer no matter what. With President Obama in office to lead to sick minded people who are twisting the minds of our children. We should have known this was going to happen. History repeats itself if you do not learn from it. We have been living under rule for our whole lives where we have no real say. Everything we the government tells us is twisted and a lie. I don't know about everyone else but I am NOT going to say " i Pledge of alliance to the earth" WTF? America was based on Christianity since the beginning of time. We have been prisoners in our so called FREE country since the day we were born, we were given numbers just like the Jews during the time of the Holocaust, what do you think Social Security numbers are for? We are reliving the past, and letting the damn government get away with it. They watch every move we make and every time they do not like something they will brainwash us some more to believe they are for our best interest. Which their not, greedy, dirty sick minded people we were brainwashed to vote for and to follow as our leaders.
