The State of the Union According to the White House Spinmeisters…. ALL OF THEM !

I got an interesting eMail yesterday… It was from Valerie Jarrett….. No kidding…

I opened it with the same trepidation that I have when I open snail mail from the IRS. I had never of course put my name on any White House mailing lists…. Hmmmm, I wonder how they got my eMail address ????

I’ve never seen such a sophisticated effort on behalf of a president to pre-sell his “State of The Union Address” to the American public. Obama’s even got his cabinet spinning the story… ALL OF THEM! The White House will probably tout this as an example of their “transparency”, but I figure that he’s got a couple of real whoppers up his sleeve and this is really  just a way for them to test the waters so to speak, before he opens his mouth when the cameras are rolling. (In case you haven’t heard, they don’t seem to be quite as sure of themselves ever since that little election in Massachusetts.) The eMail includes a link to an interactive White House webpage on which you see this panoramic photo of the anointed one and his court. By clicking on each individual’s photo, you open up a short video by that individual that gives you a little pep talk about all the great things that their department is doing for to us. I watched a few of them, but after listening to Janet Napolitano’s, I got a bit nauseous, and had to stop.

They’ve got all of our eMail addresses anyway, and other info about us as well, I’m sure, so there’s probably not all that much risk in visiting the site (unless they have a way to cross reference all visitors with all known habitués of conservative websites..
