Michael van der Galien was born in the Dutch city of Leeuwarden in 1984. For as long as he can remember, he has been obsessed with the United States. When he was 17 years old, he started blogging - of course about America. His articles have been published at Big Hollywood, Pajamas Media, Hot Air (the GreenRoom) and Right Across The Atlantic. He's also an editor for the Dutch conservative blog, De Dagelijkse Standaard.

Yes, yes, yes! Progressives’ worst enemies are… the people. I know, I know, we aren’t allowed to say it, but thank God that Beck doesn’t feel bound by the rules our self-declared “intellectual elite” have forced upon us for decades by now.

What I like most about Beck’s show is that he reminds us regularly of what the Founding Fathers believed. He does what America’s teachers should be doing: explaining why the Founding Fathers did what they did, what their vision for their country was, and why they were so determined to limit the power of government.
