Watching Glenn Beck Live with NewsReal: Liveblog Part VII

Posted on January 26 2010 5:42 pm
Michael van der Galien was born in the Dutch city of Leeuwarden in 1984. For as long as he can remember, he has been obsessed with the United States. When he was 17 years old, he started blogging - of course about America. His articles have been published at Big Hollywood, Pajamas Media, Hot Air (the GreenRoom) and Right Across The Atlantic. He's also an editor for the Dutch conservative blog, De Dagelijkse Standaard.

Oh no, there’s that word again: “progressive.” It’s the worst word in the English language, as far as I’m concerned. Yes, it’s even worse than communism.

At least most Americans know nowadays that communists are bad. Progressives, on the other hand, are still regarded as honorable human beings, who want to do what’s best for the nation and who respect the U.S. Constitution. They don’t and many aren’t.

Those quotes: ouch. They have got to hurt progressives. It’s amazing, how honest and outspoken some of these people – including one of the most overrated presidents in U.S. history Teddy Roosevelt – have been about their views.

By the way, Beck says that four million people watched his documentary live last friday at 5 PM. As he rightly puts it, that’s “unheard of.” I like to think that at least one million are because of our awesome live blog. And yeah, I’m a narcicist.
