Michael van der Galien was born in the Dutch city of Leeuwarden in 1984. For as long as he can remember, he has been obsessed with the United States. When he was 17 years old, he started blogging - of course about America. His articles have been published at Big Hollywood, Pajamas Media, Hot Air (the GreenRoom) and Right Across The Atlantic. He's also an editor for the Dutch conservative blog, De Dagelijkse Standaard.

Oh my, is Mr. Beck actually comparing President Obama to his buddy Hugo Chavez? The Left won’t like this one bit.

Then again, since the Left constantly defends Chavez and clearly considers him to be some kind of modern day Robin Hood, why do they get angry whenever someone compares him to his American counterpart? It doesn’t make sense, does it?

By the way: Chavez’s war on “critical” news organizations is eerily similar to Obama’s war on Fox.

Exit question: does anyone doubt that Obama would do the exact same things Chavez has done in Venezuela if he thought he would get away with it?
