Conan O’Brien’s Last “Tonight Show”

Michael van der Galien was born in the Dutch city of Leeuwarden in 1984. For as long as he can remember, he has been obsessed with the United States. When he was 17 years old, he started blogging - of course about America. His articles have been published at Big Hollywood, Pajamas Media, Hot Air (the GreenRoom) and Right Across The Atlantic. He's also an editor for the Dutch conservative blog, De Dagelijkse Standaard.

Declaring after weeks of sniping at his bosses that he “hates cynisism,” Conan O’Brien ended his 7-month stint as host of The Tonight Show by thanking his fans, making peace with his network, and of course, by rocking out.

“Yes, we have our differences right now and yes, we’re going to go our separate ways,” O’Brien said of NBC. “But this company has been my home for most of my adult life. I am enormously proud of the work we have done together, and I want to thank NBC for making it all possible.”
