Michael van der Galien was born in the Dutch city of Leeuwarden in 1984. For as long as he can remember, he has been obsessed with the United States. When he was 17 years old, he started blogging - of course about America. His articles have been published at Big Hollywood, Pajamas Media, Hot Air (the GreenRoom) and Right Across The Atlantic. He's also an editor for the Dutch conservative blog, De Dagelijkse Standaard.

“Listen, I don’t want to be disrespectful, but I have had no sleep right now. I haven’t even been down to Washington yet and I don’t want to say that’s a silly question, but, I’m just so thankful for the support I’ve received from everybody. Last night when I stayed and shook everyone’s hands who was sweating and pushing, those are the people I want to go down there and represent.”

It looks like Massachusetts picked the right candidate. It’s hard to imagine that Martha Coakley, who vacationed 20 days out from the election, would have been so gracious.
