This is a live, MA election night update with information coming from Fox News, CNN and MSNBC.  Fell free to post your comments along with our updates throughout the night.

9:00 pm MSNBC – Rachel Maddow at historic Doyle’s Cafe in Boston

With just over 50% precincts reporting, Scott Brown(R) with 53% of the vote is leading Martha Coakley(D) with 46%, and Joe Kennedy(L) with 1%.

9:08pm with 63% of the precincts in …

Brown (R) 52.6%

Coakley (D) 46.4%

9:12 pm Ouch. Howard Dean blames George Bush for Coakley’s pending loss!

9:15pm  Fox News’ “Sean Hannity says we’re getting close to calling this election”

9:17pm  Andy Card on Fox News: “The stage was set by the arrogance of President Obama and the Democrats in Congress”

9:18pm Frank Luntz on FNC  with Bay State voter focus group. “NO ONE” believes Obama has exceeded their expectations. 4 voted for Obama AND Brown. Majority intended to send a message to Washington!

9:20pm Rachel Maddow looks like she’s going to get sick!

9:22pm AP projects Scott Brown WINS! It appeasr turnout in Boston or Coakley’s home town area did not materialize for her as expected.

NBC News calls the race for Scott Brown.

Coakley phones Brown and concedes.
