Why is it there is always some pundit that makes an irrational statement while sliding into obscurity, thus awakening his sickening rhetoric.

As to whether the feds require you to purchase medicare at age 65, or any age, I can speak only of my own situation. At age 65 I was still working, and had a company health plan much better than Medicare parts A and B. I kept the company plan and opted out of Medicare until I actually did retire a few years later. No penalty was assessed, no taxes, no nasty letters or knocks on the door. And when I finally signed on, it was at the cost that would have been assessed had I done so at age 65. Had I wished to continue on a private plan, I could have done so. So, at least in my experience, there was NO "requirement" that I accept medicare as my primary health plan. I'm one who believes a legislated requirement to purchase health care is unconstitutional -- then and now. Here's hoping someone, somewhere, files a class action suit that gets to SCOTUS. I'm pretty certain it'll be shot down if the current high court make-up remains the same for at least a few more years.

The federal government already does lots of things that are unconstitutional. And this i a good argument to let them keep on keeping on? I fear you have missed the whole point of taking back our country and restoring our Constitution!
