Poor Andrew Revkin. The New York Times science writer has long been the “Global Warming” cabal’s favorite concubine.

Yet after years of loyal “service” — reporting approvingly and without question every tidbit these scientists passed his way — Revkin’s being tossed out of the harem. All because he wrote one blog post his masters disapproved of.

Writing about the Copenhagen conference, Revkin mentioned, in the briefest of asides, the widely reported story that Danish prostitutes were offering their services free to conference delegates. It was a single silly sentence,  in a column otherwise devoted to loyally dismissing the Climategate scandal.

Imagine Revkin’s reaction when he received this email from major “global warming” advocate Michael Schlesinger of the University of Illinois:

Andy:
Copenhagen prostitutes?
Climate prostitutes?
Shame on you for this gutter reportage.
This is the second time this week I have written you thereon, the first about giving space in your blog to the Pielkes.
The vibe that I am getting from here, there and everywhere is that your reportage is very worrisome to most climate scientists.
Of course, your blog is your blog.
But, I sense that you are about to experience the ‘Big Cutoff’ from those of us who believe we can no longer trust you, me included.
Copenhagen prostitutes?
Unbelievable and unacceptable.
What are you doing and why?
Michael

Uh oh. He’s now trying to get back into their good graces, but it looks like Andy won’t be playing any more reindeer polar bear games with his big shot “global warming” pals. And he sure won’t be getting any of that hot “free hooker” action in Denmark, either. Cold.

On the other hand:  how stupid do you have to be, if you’re a “global warming” scientist who now needs all the allies he can get, to pick that reason, at this moment, to “cut off” your most loyal supporter at the biggest (and still, for some reason, most influential) newspaper in the world?

Dumb enough to believe that a less than one-degree rise in temperature over the last one hundred years is a sign of the end times, I guess.
