As for the first–all anyone needs to do is stand in a little place called the Colorado Plateau in the SW U.S.. What was once the bottom of an inland sea is now the iconic desert “western” landscape. Tell me that ain’t “catastrophic climate change”! Damn them wooly mammoths and their SUVs! But if that doesn’t do it for ya–as all those glaciers in Greenland receed, lo and behold what should they find? The ruins of large Viking settlements! A curse be upon all those Norse cows farting around all over the place!

As for the second–meteorologist had no freakin’ clue there was anything at all called a “jet stream” until the 1940s . . . because there weren’t any planes capable of flying that high until then. The El Nino/La Nino patterns weren’t really understood until relatively late in the 20th Century. So when I hear some weatherman going bat guano over “We broke the record for heat/cold/rainfall/snowfall etc.!” I just roll my eyes and say, “Yeah, riiiiiiigh! ‘Cause we all know weather started in 1870!”

Nope, nope . . . the climate whackjobs lost me the second they blamed the tsunami that hit the South Pacific 3 years ago on “global warming”. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt up until then (only voicing my frustration that their hysteria was preventing serious research–maybe we contribute, maybe we don’t, but will Chicken Little please shut the feed-hole so we can find out?)

“Climate Change” is a religion (G*d is dead, all hail Gore!) filled with fanatics not unlike those who wander city streets with sandwich signs screaming, THE END IS NIGH! REPENT! And for anyone who wants to argue comparison between today’s scientific “deniers” and Galileo is inappropriate, I point to the California AG who not long ago threatened to bring charges against any scientist who said there was no evidence that NYC will be under water in a year.
