It was if McCain wanted to lose the election by selecting Palin for his running mate and VP
If he had been elected to the Presidency this country would have been in real trouble if something like McCain had died while in office and she took over the running this country. She may have been the governor of Alaska but she is not qualified to run for a higher office especially if is running on family values. McCain is not the greatest candidate either as everyone portrays him as a hero but in reality he is a survivor of a POW Camp just like the rest of the Prisoners in the Hanoi Hilton except he is more famous because of his father as the Admiral in Charge of the Pacific Fleet as was His Grandfather also was an Admiral. He barely got through the Naval Academy as the 5th from the bottom of his class and has never commanded anything at all in his life. He acted more like a frat brother at a college anywhere in the United States instead of what those that graduate from the military academies should act like.

Chuck, Thank you for pointing that out. Why don’t more people look at her accomplishments. You know after I read her book it kind of help me better understand a little clearer about what was actually going on during that campaign. I had questions all along about the way that campaign was being run. Its almost like McCain’s Team or at least some of them weren’t exactly on his side for a lack of a better description. Sarah they used to cover themselves. They put her in that light.America, I don’t feel really got to know that real Sarah Palin. I would like to know more and hopefully will get that chance in the future.

Walt- I agree that we did not have Obama’s exact agenda before the election, but if you read his books, you had a pretty good idea of his driving philosophy (not unlike Mein Kampf). Ben Stein just published an article in NewsMax called I Fear The Angry President (or something like that). He quotes his friend, a psychiatrist, who picked up on this early on. Well, I read Obama’s book Dreams of My Father when it first came out (5 years ago?) and my first and major comment was that he wrote well (now that’s up for conjecture, too), and he seemed like an angry guy. But look around you at all the Libs you know…. the overriding motivation among all of them seems to be some grievance which they insist needs reprisal. True Conservatives, like Sarah Palin don’t have this rage-filled backdrop. Listen to a real Conservative, and you’ll hear about positives, dreams and concrete plans, not complaining about all the wrongs that have been done them.

No one ever heard ‘exactly what he was planning on doing’, he never said! That is what made it so frustrating to folks like me who never understood how others could vote for anyone simply for (undefined) Hope and Change.

Well, you have seen it now and I dare say you don’t like it – anyone with a bit of common sense wouldn’t. But the truly indoctrinated will still proclaim his greatness, even though (like Rhodi) they have no idea what they are talking about – and unwilling to accept that they have been had.

NOW you have seen what this man and his administration are capable of, and in what direction it will continue to fester. If you are not worried for your country, our way of life and the future of your children and grandchildren, then there is no hope for you!

Um.. Craig, is it? Her daughter was 18 not 15. If you say, oh there’s no difference. Uh yes there very much is. When you turn 18 you can vote, smoke cigarettes, and a group of other things. At 15 can you do that? No.

Her numbers are already improving vs. Obama and everything is lining up perfectly for this lady.

Craig Close..I started not to comment because your mind seems set already..but I will. I will not reply to all of your clap-trap statements, because let’s face it, you are an idiot if you believe all that you wrote. Just to cover a few,(1) As to her pregnant daughter and her stand on family values, did your parents have family values? If so, did you get their permission before you had sex?? Doubt it!! (2) You assume that she is on welfare. Where is the proof?? She got a $1.7million advance on her book and has since sold over 300,000 with the publisher planning to print around 1.5 million more. I don’t believe she would qualify for welfare. (3) Levi Johnson left because he couldn’t accept the responsibility of fatherhood, and though reconciliations have been attempted, he wants no part of it. (4) You really outdo yourself with the quitter comment of unless she sees “big bucks”. If this was why, then why would she need or want Alaskan welfare?? She resigned because of the frivilous lawsuits which she had to fight against. Unlike most other states, Alaska provides no funds for anyone in office and she was inundated with junk suits which cost her personally over $1.5 million. She felt that she could not do her job as governor and spend so much time in court. (5..and I quit with this one) Her campaign wardrobe was for the most part loaned to her or donated to her. The loans were returned and the donated things were given to charity along with the very few things which were purchased. I do hope that you learned from this…or do you just throw dirt and run??

I am surprised by how many democrats and independents have turned away from Obama and are now willing to consider Sarah Palin…I personally think she’s great and refreshing–I always have since she hit the natl. political scene last year; but I’m wondering what the motive is? It seems to me that Obama is doing exactly what he said he was planning to do–at least, what I heard him say during the election. I’m just curious.

It is heartening to see so many Palin supporting comments. The
revolting left will tear at her as long as she is on the political
scene. The sorry part of her detractors is that they have no
candle to hold up to her, only darkness and thus see nothing.
I admire her accomplishments. For ten years I sat on a City Council
with the last two as Mayor, small city and big problems. Fighting
the State Government, County Government and wealthy business
interests all the time to protect the citizenry from being
trashed by jobbery , well it’s a long story, I prevailed.
Being in the right is what counts, people do not miss that.

My point is that unless you are similarly experienced in what
she must have gone through, the stress is enormous, the personal
attacks withering but she has come out on top and is doing fine.
She has and enormous accomplishment, enormous. American voters
were not understanding, to used to not paying attention and
giving time to thought. Obama promised smooth and easy answers,
one liners which have proven out to be one lie on top of another.
He being a shuck and jive snake oil salesmen, not to degrade the
snakes but hey what a con, that he was not seen for what he was
by the majority of voters just put the screws to possibly four
years of American life. Maybe there are enough cogent thinkers
available to make the difference and prepare to get us out from
under the pile of debris that is being laid on us. Obama is just
one man and one on one he looses to Sarah Palin in a big way.
Sarah Palin has earned our respect, Obama is destroying America
and we need to pray that there are a whole lot Sarah Palins in the
wings to help restore America so there will be a future. I have
been in both political parties and now consider myself independent,
I preach good cop bad cop, the parties have been playing us like
fools all along…….WJW
