Well thats easy to answer. The majority of both houses are controlled now by the radical left socialists that are in someways more radical then Obama which is hard to believe but true. Pelosi, Reid, Waxman, The communist Conyers who continues to stall any investigations into Acorn, and so many others. Till we throw all the socialist and Rinos out of office, you won’t see much talk about impeachment. Fact is, very few Republicans can be counted on to back an impeachment even if they were to retake both houses following the next elections. Too many of the politicians now in office only care about lining their pockets from special interest groups. Its really a sad time were living in. With Obama and his Socialist running the country, it’s gonna get worse before it hopefully gets better.

The truth is that the USA DOES have the 2nd highest infant mortality and maternal mortality at birth for all industrialized nations. (We are in 27th place for best birth outcomes of 1st world nations). The problem is our use of technology, lack of support in labor, and primary care with doctors vs. midwives for all low-risk pregnancies–we spend 3x as much on birth as other nations, with much more negative results–we have taken the 95% normality of birth and made birth dangerous because of too many intervention. (Does it seem reasonable to anyone that 90% of all births have to be induced?!)

OB’s are no longer trained to recognize normality (what a normal labor looks like without the use of drugs or surgical interventions). It’s a give and take. Technology has helped detect early problems; the extreme overuse of it has created a flood of dangers–FACT: A woman with a planned cesarean is 3x more likely to die of complications than a woman with a natural birth. Of course, the AMA and ACOG and even the CDC (admitted it, but doesn’t publicize it) are in BUSINESS and don’t want people to know the stats…

Yet another reason why this monstrosity of a health care plan is bogus. It doesn’t push for midwives (the #1 prevention of bad births and premature babies). It doesn’t help our nation reduce it’s death rates of mothers and babies (only 25 states keep track of cause of mortality) and it creates more blockades for mothers and babies to get proper birth education and care. I am disgusted that more people are concerned about pushing abortion then they are REAL “reproductive care”!
