Today’s leftists are convinced that harmless adjectives are actually coded curse words. If you describe someone as “gay” or “black,” even if that happens to be a relevant aspect of your story, you’re a “homophobe” or a “racist.”
Such pointless gnostic “code breaking” helps leftists conveniently avoid dealing with real social problems, while providing them with the thrilling illusion that they’re performing a brave and necessary public service.
The craving to experience these little frissons of self-righteousness never sleeps, it seems. Around 3AM this Veterans Day morn, Media Matters‘ Oliver Willis was sufficiently roused by outrage to object to an AP reporter’s description of President Barack Obama as a “novice Commander in Chief.”
Which he is. As Willis himself allows. But that’s not the point, dammit! The point… is… uh… that same reporter once gave John McCain a donut. With sprinkles.
Ah well. ”In a real dark night of the soul,” wrote F. Scott Fitzgerald, “it is always three o’clock in the morning.”
How long until Willis objects that “dark night” is racist, I wonder? And don’t get him started on “soul.”
You’re onto something. Here is a job posting on the NYC Craigslist today, that is seeking college “interns” to monitor the media for what amounts to “thought crimes” and “hate speech”.
I came across this earlier today before your article was posted, and thought it interesting that in America, minoritiy activists groups like GLAAD, are now attempting to control free speech on behalf of Blacks, homosexuals, Moslems, etc. The link below proves their efforts are real, and well organized.

Just looking at their membership list, I was surprised to see the YMCA, and Catholic Charities there. It seems that the Human Rights Campaign is in reality, partially a homosexual lobby group.

I can always appreciate Kathy Shaidle’s eye for identifying who the enemies are in our midsts, and its important to go after the people they associate with too, because some of them may be lurking in our own homes.
That has got to be the most despicable thing I have ever read as far as aiding in the destruction of free speech.

I have maintained for several years now the only time you will see Hollywood and the news media change is when the death cult starts bombing there comunities and killing there women and children you know like they bomb Isreali pizza shops and parties for kids there buses. these cowards are just trying to get at the back of the line.
