The fact that CNN cannot tolerate an anchor who actually expresses an opinion that deviates from 24/7 all hail Obama is the reason it is failing to draw viewers. I haven't watched anything but Lou Dobbs on CNN for years. Watching the same bunch of libs lauding Obama and ignoring any news story critical of him on every show all day is incredibly boring. They lose Lou and keep Rick Sanchez, the dimwit illegal alien apologist? Unbelievable!

As a Californian I know the problems illegal immigration causes. It is a major reason we are now a bankrupt state with high unemployment (for Americans, anyway). I hope Lou can continue his fight for secure borders and enforcment of immigration laws. No one else even talks about it, (too politically incorrect). I guess La Raza is now running this country.

Thank you Lou for fighting the good fight.

Lou was the only CNN host I watched on a regular basis. I also listened to his talk show. He claims to be independent but to me he sounded like a conservative most of the time. It made sense to position himself between leftists and conservatives because it gave him a unique identity as a media host. To me he always belonged on FOX and would be a welcome addition to the FOX arsenal. I have agreed with Lou's positions far more often than with Bill O'Reilly's, who often sounds like he belongs on CNN.

Lou Dobbs has for years been the last vestige of journalistic integrity remaining at CNN. So his elimination was, sadly, a corporate-agenda matter of time.

I look forward to his next plans, and thanks, Lou, for some fine and fearless reporting over the years. Ed Murrow would be proud; I am grateful.

I like the fact that Lou Dobbs criticises both parties,he doesn't let party lines distort his perception on the issues.

[...] Lou Dobbs’s departure from CNN has turned into a cause for celebration — at CNN. Network president Jonathan Klein dismissively called Lou’s program “advocacy journalism” in an otherwise respectful tribute. But Politico.com quotes an anonymous network source: “I think it’s safe to say that he won’t be missed among the rank-and-file employees at the network,” said a CNN staffer. “The Dobbs show has existed in its own little universe for the last several years, in many ways cut off from the rest of the editorial process at CNN. Most people will be left wondering what this means for the primetime lineup and whether Klein can now deliver on his ‘down the middle’ mantra.” [...]

Lou has a commanding view of our deterioriting situation.
I hope he ends up expressing himself on another channel other than Fox.
Fox has plenty of conservative personalitites.
He could balance out the views of another more liberal network.
He has shown his character.
GO Lou!

The comment made by the gentleman from Canada explains the direction our government is heading regarding our freedom to question their motives in this country. While most of us see an obvious trend to silence those opposing our right to speak out. This is not what America is all about.

All of us may at one point or another, make a slight errorin judgement from time to time, but to blow that one comment out of proportion to silence the overall gist of ones point of view has become a tactic of extremists to control how we should think.

dickharvey is a prime example of that and yet, we allow his comments on this site. If this site only allowed comments the editor agreed with, then he would not have a voice in our society, today. Think about that in reverse terms, sir.
