But when Steele says: "and I don’t see anyone talking about the left-wing-nuts who are stifling the health care for my mother and my family and my community." Is he implying that the progressives are correct, that the government needs to provide health care for his mother etc.? If so he needs out, we don't need someone that will compromise with the progressives, so they can have the full enchilada later. What they will do will fail, but they will blame the failure because they didn't spend enough, or because they didn't have enough control, or some other excuse. I couldn't watch the whole interview, so maybe Steele was just using the health care for his mother as a parody of the left, if not I'd be worried. We can't give them an inch, bottom line should be that the founders gave those rights to the federal government which they couldn't do themselves, like defense. If states want health care they can vote it and tax themselves. There is no room for Steele to compromise on that and if he wants health care for his mother he'd best not intend to pass the cost the costs on to federal taxpayers.
