I think those are convenient lightening rod labels for people who want to encite anger. It takes a real effort to look underneath any situation, ask the people involved for their opinions, and why they make decisions in the moment to find out that the nefarious motivations ascribed to most 'patriarchal' and 'greedy' actions are motivated by neither. This is why I found the feminist agenda in college to be a farce, and turned my back on it, like so many other women of my generation,. Is it really patriarchy, and is it really greed? That was ok with me. But, soon, I realized their real goal was not advancement of women; it was striking back at and hurting MEN. I quit the group. I love men. Maybe I’m a Feminist, maybe not. Never tried to classify myself.
