Mike: "When you listen to Maddow you will a very hard time disputing what she says unless you are wearing the tin foil hat..." ?!

Is that comment supposed to be serious, or just a bad joke you're attempting to make?

Maddow has been and continues to be so obviously and deeply impacted in Obama's rectum since he first flashed that lovable smile and waxed poetic on oh, so many topics that it's pathetic. There is never an iota of legitimate assessment, leave along appropriately balanced criticism from her when it comes to the Anointed One and his agenda--her voice is an unwavering (and mindlessly slurping) liberals-can-do-no-wrong-ever monotone.

And whenever he has one of his increasingly common missteps (Rev. Wright, complete flip-flop on important issues like campaign funding, the lame attempt @ getting the Olympics for Chicago, or his weak, inept handling of foreign policy), she goes through nearly pathetic verbal contortions to justify, soften, or at least minimize any legitimate concern.

And your snide comment about "tin hats" reflects well the current intellectual bankruptcy of liberals, many of whose positions are becoming increasingly untenable on any factual basis, making it difficult or impossible to respond with the type of intellectual approach which is supposed to be foundational for them. Instead they/you resort to name calling, ad hominem attacks, and mischaracterizations of anyone who dares criticize this very flawed Administration as some kind of "right wing nuts".

That's much easier than addressing the many legitimate issues brought up by reasonable centrists and moderate conservatives who increasingly have serious concerns about Obama's actual competency as President. It's also why I believe fewer and fewer people watch the likes of Maddow and Keith (Sl)Obberman and MSNBC in general--their relentlessly p.c. spinning of every single issue makes them less and less credible all the time and often verges on the absurd.

Mike,

I worked for ABC-CapCities in the 80s. All of the decisions on how to cover news stories in the newsroom where I worked were based solely on how to make the Democrat position look the most favorable and the Republican position look the most unreasonable. It was deliberate, and well-thought out, not the least bit even handed or unbiased. My news director went so far to visit the Democrat Speaker of our state legislature at the state capitol and get his news stories bashing our governor's budget directly from him. This was twenty five years ago. In the intervening years, I have watched the national news coverage march further and further to the left in an unrelenting passion to shape public opinion by presenting only one side of the story, or the liberal side favorably, and the conservative side not at all, or with a negative bias. It has sickened me to know what the truth is, and watch it go completely unreported in the national media, and by default in the local paper and stations. Because of my media experience, I can do my own research. Fox is much more balanced than any of the other news networks, and it's being farther to the right in this environment is not an effort anyone has to make, it is the default position in a corrupt media environment.

Our civil rights were 'shredded' during the Bush administration? I don't recall having my freedom to practice my religion impacted, I don't recall my right to bear arms being taken from me, I don't recall a single attempt to silence dissent on the air waves or the internet or direct administration attacks on media institutions or individual reporters or anchors ...

What shredding are you referring to, because there was not a single action during his administration that I can recall that had any impact what so ever on me nor was it likely to have any impact on me -- or anyone I know.

However, there are a plethora of legislative actions pending by the Democrat Congress which will directly impact my daily life if they are signed into law, and there have been many more which public outcry has stiffled. I have never in my 55 years feared my government taking my freedom as much as I have in 2009.

@Mike, who says "I have zero problems with Socialism..." Mike, Mike, Mike. Let me get this straight--you have no problem with Government that has so much power it can dictate how we live our lives, what we can do, what we buy, where we bank, how much money we make, which businesses are permitted to survive, which businesses will fail, how much health care we receive, how our children are schooled, how much we are taxed, and the list goes on. You have no problem with people groveling for subsistence from the powerful government--while the government officials live in extreme wealth like Saddam Hussein. You have no problem with that? Liberals are all the same--they HATE when anyone gets ahead of them. They can't stand it when someone else succeeds. It makes them angry that everybody isn't exactly the same. They believe it's easier to put their hand out rather than to work hard to make something of themselves. They resent everybody who has ambition, creativity, and success. Your life must be filled with insecurities--so much so that you need the almighty government to take complete charge of your life. You people make me gag. You've ruined our once free America with your socialistic whining and pathetic desire for some unrealistic utopia where everybody sings kumbaya and even our enemies love us. If you love socialism so much, why don't you try it out in France or Spain or even the UK, which is now filled with politically correct jerks who cower to the infiltration of Muslims who think they are stupid. Get a spine!

UNBELIEVABLE how stupid Chris is.... But unfortunately MANY in the liberal media and now the government believe that Christians are to be feared... Obama and the media go out of their way for Muslims who are the source of terrorist attacks but say nothing comforting about Christians.. This country is not headed in the right direction..

[...] Sanchez, like most of the media, has tried to remove mention of radical Islam from the Ft. Hood Massacre story. Sanchez goes a step further with a back door game of moral equivalence. He does not say it, but he does infer that the hate of Westboro Baptist shows Christian extremism can be equated with Islamic extremism. This is a claim often made in the media – most recently by Chris Matthews, which I wrote about here.

It’s just that Fox News is the furthest to the right and lies the most.

Please show me what LIES Fox has been telling?

The only LIES I have been hearing are the ones by the slobbering leg tingling hair raising MGMSM and it's attendant sycophants, since Clinton and his "it's all about sex" scandal!

Maybe you're going to tell us what the definition of "is", is, next!

America Again in 2010!
