I am not happy, much less gleeful about the collapse of the New York Times. In the past, even though it was center-left in politial orientation, it provided quality and in depth coverage that few other papers in the United States even bothered to emulate. Those days of being a flag ship newspaper are long gone, due to its editorial policy, shrinkage of the paper and article length, and finally the quality of its writing. It is a paper that is not worth its $2.00.

Michelle receives all of this because she has never felt respected as a black woman in the USA. She is simply trying to make herself comfortable. Doesn't she deserve it? Don't say it aint so!

Too big to fail? To cowardly to succeed?
The Red House met secretly with both MSNBC and the NY Times this week according to sources leaked to FOX News as reported yesterday. Why??? Is a bail out deal in the making??? Or, are they officially being purchased by the DNC to remove all doubt of political leanings? At least this way everything would be up front and out in the open. The diversionary tactics of the Red House are being ramped up to heights unknown. It has become so difficult to decifer actuality from deception. Now we know what a community organizer does. He perfects deceit and deception and passes it on to others, for a price. The bully and his gang of thugs on the playground have shown their true colors and total ineptitude in guiding this country. Watching the 3 (Obama, Axelrod, Emmanuel) plan and execute complex B.S. games and create deceptive and destructive plans for this country behind closed doors is similar to the Nazi organization and plans in Europe prior to the outbreak of WW2.This is more frightening every day.

MaryAnn,

I assume we are of a similar age and say that one of the biggest errors our generation is guilty of is not recognizing the difference between knowledge and wisdom. In general we were far more educated than our parents, Dad could not talk about Quantum Theory or Karl Marx, but Dad had a level of wisdom that cannot be purchased with a tuition check. However, anytime he tried to say anything, he was smashed in the mouth with words for which he had no defense.

Democracy is a word that replaced what was once our 'REPUBLIC'. But ...
we all got brainwashed into that one, didnt we? And when did that happen?
Were you paying attention, or did it just 'appear' out of the blue one day? Well, it is not your fault if you are young, because it happened in your parents day, and from Newspapers and commentators to text books and teachers, they continued to spread the propaganda right up to present day.

NYT has NO WORRIES about 'going out of business', much like the TV and radio stations willing to yield to BIG BRO...right onto the Weather Channel and Actors, producers and Directors in Hollywood. They're all in the same melting propaganda pot.

I think the reason for the overall decline in America is due to a lack of morality and religion (and people actually living their faith rather than simply talking about it), and the truly abysmal education our kids receive. The people who are leading our country today, and the people who support them, were educated yesterday.

The lack of outstanding leaders in America, the non-accountability of politicians, and lack of honesty among those who would guide this nation can be attributed, in large part, to the decline in the real function of news organizations, which is to tell the truth. This nation's media, generally speaking, is a disgrace and is not taken seriously in most parts of the world. What sad commentary. I am an American by choice, feel privileged to be so, but this is not the same America that once stirred my passion. This is the country that produced "The Greatest Generation" which saved the world from tyranny and oppression. Its young men fought -- and so many died -- for freedom and the right to live in peace, yet today we desecrate the memory of those who sacrificed by our self-made divisions among ourselves. And for what purpose? I can only hope that one day I will see a true leader emerge to take this country to where it once was, and beyond -- to its potential.

We have a similarly biased rag here in Britain. It's called the Guardian and unashamedly shills for the left, Islam, Palestine and of course Obama.

It is, in similar manner, tanking as is their client favourite Party, Labour.

We've had enough!

Looks like the US is also waking up to this nightmare of top down edict and the hollowing out of society from within by rabid Marxists intent on nothing less than ruling the world.

Good! We took eleven years to twig, the US is reacting much more quickly and the demise of the NYT would send such a shockwave message as to unhinge even further the Mao loving wingnuts currently going down like lead balloons.

Viva la resistance!

Right on, Sarah. Like you, I was a NYT reader a long time ago, but abandoned that "pleasure". A friend and I used to spend most of our Sundays afternoons, together, reading and discussing NYT content, but now we play tiddlywinks, a much more enlightening use of our time.

A long time ago I used to read the New York Times. Then I realized they were lying by omission and it became a game for me to fill in the blanks to uncover the real story. And how the story changed with all the information revealed!

It makes no sense to support that propaganda rag in a free country. Why would anyone pay to be spun, manipulated and misinformed in order to arrive at a world view that is false and to vote for a political party that is directly opposed to liberty?
