The indecision demonstrated by Obama has all the markings of a political decision being made rather than one of safety for our troops and the security of the country. The stalling of a decision until after the run-off election is a diversion for what I have no idea, but, it certainly fits the past history of the Obama administration. Unfortunately, I believe that so much more is being decided behind the scenes beyond increasing troop numbers. Iraq turned out to be a major strategic defeat for al Qaeda which had made that war, in their own words, their front line against the crusaders. Two months to decide whether to abandon his own strategy or listen to his military advisors rather than his left-wing base is not too much to ask of our current Commander-in-Chief. Bush ignored Afghanistan for the good part of his two terms - the situation there and Pakistan is pretty much Bush's fault. He decided to go after a paper tiger - Saddam Hussein. Lost many American lives as a result. The U.S. Consitition says the President is the Commander-In-Chief, not the generals. Let the President make the decision - Haste makes waste. President George W.
