He was just as smug then as he is now. But it worked for him when he was just talking about sports. He didn't know what the hell he was talking about, but who cared? It's the nature of the venue--everyone is an expert in a world where there are no experts. It's one of the fun things about sports. Now, take that posture and put it in a political context and you get--well you see where this is going. BTW, Bush 41 might want to exercise caution when using the term "sick puppies." Don't want to upset the dog lovers. Wouldn't be prudent. Olbermann was an LA TV sportscaster for years. He was just as smug then as he is now.
