Years ago, I became highly impressed with Dr. Thomas Sowell’s economically well-educated but down-to-earth wisdom and ability to impart arcane concepts with clarity for lay people. His respect for and explanations of the free market as an essential part of our freedoms is unmatched and comparable to those of the late Dr. Milton Friedman. All Americans, regardless of their education, who prize freedom, America, our Constitution, and way of life should become familiar with this modest, soft-spoken champion of truth; particularly in this new and unbelieveably destructive political climate. His race is but an asset in countering popular black faux-leaders who only damage and mislead the blacks and phony so-called “liberals.”

I am a great fan of Dr. Sowell’s, have six of his books and read his columns. He has been on Hannity and Beck’s shows but really needs a show of his own. However, would people listen to him? I think he is one of America’s most brilliant mind and he can make his points so that even the majority of Americans can understand him.

Another thing to Dr. Sowell’s credit, early on in his life he was a Marxist, but when he taught college, his students NEVER knew it. One even told him later on that she was surprised to find out he had been one. His answer was that kids were not in college to be indoctrinated by their teachers. I admired him even more after I read that. And for anyone interested, his book, A Personal Odyssey, is well worth the read.

Books lying unread in bookstores don’t educate anyone. I think if Dr Sowell were to spend even one hour on FOX fortnightly it would probably be a great “stimulus program” for the sales and circulation of his books and the readership of his column. The best academics, and even the best economists amongst them, are not necessarily always as good at being businessmen or at being their own PR agents. I have only the highest admiration for the great job Sowell’s doing to improve our culture’s awareness of and knowledge about many important issues — but there’s always room for a little improvement. History is replete with stories of those who built a better mousetrap, only to find that people beat a path to the doors of their inferior competitors who had made a wise business decision to advertise.

ditto here. Mr Walter Williams has subbed for Rush and I enjoy him…and also his column that appears in JWR. And that goes for Mr. Krauthammer. Enjoy listening to him or reading his column.

too funny. But I agree about Bill O’Reilly. I don’t like him interrupting people to say something. I mean, it works both ways. And I would LOVE to be able to hear Mr. Sowell more often. I am always checking his website or JWR to read his column before it appears in our newspaper. And while on the subject of Fox, the few times I have watched Hannity, when they (he and his guests) ALL start talking at once, I can’t STAND it. I have to turn it off. I’d rather read what they say than listen to them. Too much for my ears to handle.

I’ve enjoyed from time to time listening to Thomas Sowell on that Racist Rush Limbaugh program where Rush allows Dr. Sowell to fill in for him at times when Rush is away or on vacation. Most of us know Rush is no racist, and Dr. Sowell would never allow himself to be associated with Rush if he believed there was a racist bone in Limbaugh’s body. Dr. Sowell is a true conservative, and does not follow the blame whitey mentality of the likes of the Rev. Jackson or Al Sharpton. Dr. Sowell is in the same company of other conservative thinking blacks like Chief Justice Clarence Thomas. America and the black community would be better off if it had many more Thomas Sowell’s and less Revf. Jacksons, Al Sharptons and Maxine Waters. My hats off to a fine and true conservative, Thomas Sowell.

Just because of his brilliance, he is needed on Fox. The man writes and talks so aritculately and clearly that he should be able to argue (debate) any point. The problem is would there be any liberal who would want to debate him? Too bad the people who need to hear him would not be viewing Fox.

And that is your right.Don’t listen then. But how do expect to get America back if you aren’t sure about ‘how’? Dr. Sowell , is what I believe, a patriot. Sometimes one makes sacrifice to further the cause. Dr. Sowell is a ‘Bull’ that is equal to Paines letters during the American revolution. He can explain clearly to us who were not educated by the elite in simple terms. I did not get the chance to further my education but Dr. Sowell is quite comprehensible to me. As I mentioned before Dick Morris says whats going to happen. Dr. Sowell explains why and how. God bless him.

Sowell is brilliant, Nothing I would be interested in hearing. Fox is to picky thank god. Why is he going to tell us how corrupt this administration is, or how Seniors are getting screwed.
You go to college or read his books. Americans want to know how to get America back. How to live our lives in peace. We don’t need a one sided bull to wast our time.

Dr. Sowell has been on Beck’s show, once maybe twice. He would be a good sometime guest on Bair’s panel. I’d hate to see him on television all the time. Television somehow detracts from people. Maybe that’s just my personal feelings about television.
