Obama White House Flack A Maoist?
Obama White House communications director Anita Dunn idolizes Mao Zedong, the brutal Communist dictator of China responsible for the slaughter of tens of millions of innocent victims, Glenn Beck just revealed on his TV show.
Mao, who is arguably the greatest mass murderer in history, is “one of the two people that I turn to most,†Dunn is shown saying in a videotaped speech. (The other person she identified was Mother Teresa.) In a sane world this revelation about Mao would have Dunn already cleaning out her desk, her career in tatters.
But not in President Obama’s Washington. Will the mainstream media even bother reporting the White House spokeswoman’s admiration for Mao? Can you imagine how the press would have reacted if she identified Hitler as an inspiration in her speech?
Dunn’s Maoism (if she is indeed a Maoist–the burden is now on her to explain herself) is especially relevant given that she has been chosen by President Obama to lead his “war” against Fox News. It’s good to know she draws inspiration from a bloodthirsty totalitarian dictator as she helps to lead the Obama administration’s assault on the First Amendment.
Dunn is a co-founder of Squire Knapp Dunn Communications, a public relations firm. A partner in the firm, she is currently listed as being on a leave of absence.
Michelle Malkin notes that Dunn “is married to Obama thug lawyer Robert Bauer, who tried valiantly to get the [Department of Justice] to prosecute conservative critics and punish TV stations for running an ad critical of Obama’s relationship with [the] Weather Underground['s] Bill Ayers.”
Predictably, the paid professional liars at George Soros’s Media Matters for America immediately sought to spin away the Obama administration’s latest budding public relations debacle.

I am curious as to why she “turns to Mao”?
If she sees redeeming qualities in Obama et al…why not Mao?

It’s amazing what a cursory search of Squier Knapp Dunn’s website reveals about who dwells under Anita Dunn’s rock. This is definitely not your garden-variety Che t-shirt liberal. This is someone whose ideology is so insidious that she would shred First Amendment protections.
I believe the White House is a Red House now.
From under what rocks do such vermin emerge? Criminals, cranks, Marxists, moral degenerates, lawless loons, come to Washington, DC. There is work for all of you in the Obama administration.
First off, I really do like Glenn Beck – but here’s why: Sure he’s loopy and more than a little wacky, but he’s honest, admits his mistakes, backs up his assertions, and puts stories out there that NO ONE is reporting.
I think what people don’t like about him is: 1) His ideas (the left hates that part) 2) His personality (both sides) – but, objectively, what he brings to the news is AMAZING. No one else is doing it.

As to Ms Dunn, no, there is no excuse for her loving Mao. If I were to take Hitler’s quotes, and even to start off with a disclaimor – I’d be lambasted.
I mean, what did Hitler do that was right? He took a defeated, economically destroyed, demoralized, and fractured country, and in less than 15 years made it into a world power (or even super power). Now, that is TRUE, but his evil far outshadows his good acts.
And lets be clear here: Hitler ONLY killed 8-12 million civilians. (can’t believe I said ONLY!), but Mao, in PEACE TIME, killed 50-80 million of his own people through starvation and the gulag system. His regime was BRUTAL. B-R-U-T-A-L. And, yes, forgetting “cultural differences” he had a prediliction for 10-13 year old girls. LOTS of them.
Now, did he turn a backwards agri-country into a superpower? Yes – but so did Hitler, and Hitler killed less of his own people. Hitler’s toll, INCLUDING WWII, is not as high as Mao’s in peace time.
So, no, her “it was a quote” quote is not acceptable. There were many people who fought against long odds – she could have picked ANY of them, but she picked Mao.
Successful guerilla actions in WWII by the French, Slovaks, Czechs or any other could have been used.
Same could be said about the Founding Fathers. Same could be said about Nelson Mandella. Get the point? No, she picked the worst mass murderer in 20th century history. Stalin wasn’t as bad, and that’s saying a lot.
Give it some thought.

I wonder tho; just how many of those in the gradulating class actually knew who Mao was? They may have been taught about him briefly in school but, how was it presented? In the same manner as Dunn’s leftist presentation of Mao as simply a philosopher?
To answer the question as to what would happen if she referenced Hitler: She did not reference Hitler because he apparently did not go far enough in her views of State control of the population. Mao apparently had what it takes to overcome the obstacles of humanity, caring, reverence towards human life, liberties, self-determination, government by and for the peoples general welfare, and other human traits that form around freedom. She choose to admire and internalize the Maoist philosophy for one reason only. It fits the mold she has set as the perfect utopian earth. Mao is her type of man. Brutal, effective and an unrelenting totalitarian dictator. If she needs Mao as her mentor, there is a deep evil lurking within her. I fear that she is just the tip of the iceberg in the Obama administration’s shadow czar’s war against the U.S. Constitution and all of us.We must continue to confront these quasi-dictators and expose them for what they are, shadow dictators.

You have a good point. She presented Mao as the Chinese Mother Teresa, full of compassion, good works, and a love of G_d and mankind. Who knew that you could present such a evil man in such glowing terms with a presentation by someone in the White House administration? The kids sat and listened to someone of authority without fully knowing the evil behind the message.
Dunn? I hope she is “Done”. Its outrageous that so many Americans sit back and condone or ignore people like this, Van Jones, Axelrod, Emmanuel, and a long list of other subversives, and condemn someone who reports researched facts about all of them. Where I come from they call it ignorance.
First and most important from a woman’s point of view she was overdue to have her hair colored – her views already had been.
She thought she was being “hip” to juxtapose Mother Teresa and Mao. One was into oblitering human suffering; the other to infllicting it in a massive way. But she got caught in her own PR trap twice last week:
1. At the above speaking engagement.
2. During her “we control the media” interview.
Looks as if, as in other instances when Obama appointees have been overweening and over exposed (like their leader).
These people do not walk on water. These days they are treading it.
All of this said, Sam Deakins here has said it: the kids probably don’t know what or who she was talking about. I hope they have little intellectual curiosity. But if they do, all evil doings of Mao will have been scrubbed from the internet.
Maybe she’ll “reform” just like ‘former’ Trotskyite David Horowitz did, and become a good little, ‘respectable’ neo-cohn.

I could be mistaken but I believe she was talking to a Catholic High School graduating class which, if true, is the only reason she invoked the name of Mother Teresa. It would give her a little more credibility.

Yes, I agree with you on both points. The other stations and media cringe at the thought of doing any investigative reporting if their is even a small chance it might “offend” Obama or his staff. Its so obvious it reeks of partisanship.
