Media Matters: 11,000 news stories = "Beltway press" ignoring new poll
Posted on October 13 2009 9:00 am

This morning, Media Matters‘ Eric Boehlert (a.k.a., Eric the Excitable) blogs:
Ugh, first it was the AP, now Gallup. Beltway elites, still mocking Obama‘s Nobel Peace Prize, are not going to like this trend and, I’m guessing, will continue to do their best to ignore it.
The undeniable storyline though, is that Obama’s approval ratings are heading back up.
Eric posts a Gallup graph showing that Obama’s approval ratings have leapt from 51% on October 4, to 56% on October 10.
(According to Gallup, “the maximum margin of sampling error is ±3 percentage points.”)
Anyway, Eric the Excitable predicted at 9:11 AM ET that something he calls the “Beltway media” will “continue to do their best to ignore” this “news.”
So at around 9:20 AM ET, I typed “obama’s approval rating gallup” into Google News and was invited to read… “all 11, 487 news articles”:

I’ll ask again: is George Soros getting his money’s worth?
