First of all let me make it clear, I’m not the Bill Burton who is a spolesman for Obama. I’m just a dumb farmer, actually rancher from Alaska. I was actually fired by Sara Palin when she fired the whole Board of Agriculture, but I wrote her a letter & said she did the right thing as she was trying to protect the Dairy industry, & I would support her if she was to run for President.
I agree that Glenn Beck is the best TV commentator on, & that he is a breath of fresh air. What we need is some of our Republican Congressmen/women & Senators to take a stand for what is really right, like Ben. Netanyahu did for Israel in his speech before the UN. I haven’t heard anyone speak like that since Winston Churchil during the blitz of England (which I only read, I’m ancient, but not that ancient). Yet I haven’t heard anything about it in the liberal news, or even on Fox news. Oh that we would have a conservative spokes man or woman like that, I believe that Sara Palin would come the closeist to that, but there is a lot of conservatives comming out of the closet.

I agree with returning to conservatism/roots; but what specifically are you referring to when you say corruption in our party?

Also, I believe the profound spending by the Republican controlled congress was a major factor in their loss of seats in 2006 when the Democrats obtained control.

That level of spending looks pretty darn good compared to what the Democrats are now spending.

Republicans have to get back to conservatism/constitutionalism (Basis on which they were founded) and get rid of the corruption in our party. Those elected mucst stop rolling over and playing dead when pressured from the Liberals and Democrats . Until they do this a 3rd party will continue to exist and throw a kink in everything thus leaving our country open to this type of upheaval – a nation so devided!

Beck is a phenomenon, that’s for sure! His is an important voice to be added to our Conservative “choir.” Mark Steyn, too, brings wit & wisdom – with abundance! – to the table (probably the most educated and well-informed of the bunch). As for O’Reilly, he’s become somewhat of a bore – and a d.o.m. one, at that. His leering sexism and feigned embarrassment at certain sexual innuendos are disgusting. That woman who brought suit – and whom he paid off Big Time – was, I believe, telling the truth. Glad he seems to be more circumspect, although they say a leopard doesn’t change his spots…
