I have worked in that fine state serving FFJ warrants and also California over the years. I have been to Plains several times. I hold no ones birth against them and I really cannot speak with any knoledge in reference to Rosaline Carter other than to say she must be a tough woman to stick with that man all these years. However Jimmy is a different story his actions and words prove more and more his bitter anti-Semetism he might be one of the most evil people that there is because of all the harm he has done. But be assured There are many fine people from GA. and I have met them so no worries. Judy

He is not stupid, but, he is also not wise. Although he is known through family and I have only met him on a dozen or so occaisions, I was not fond of his "gee whiz" and 'awe shucks" personality that hid a very volatile temper. He has a beautiful, wonderful wife that is gracious, honest and would be a treasured friend to anyone. Like they say, opposites attract. His political campaigns ran on silent segregation and slammed anyone for "consorting with the colored". In the governors race, he slammed his GOP opponent for having a church open to African-Americans.Having open, mixed church congregations was still evolving in Georgia and Carter made full use of innuendo and the silent spread of rumors, fliers, radio ads, and other forms of racist propaganda. I feel sorry for Rosie. She is not like him but has a deep faithfulness to her husband. In Georgia they refer to people such as Carter as "being a bit touched" or "just not right in the head". They do care for their loved ones so afflicted, but, make sure that they are suppervised and stay out of trouble. Just ask Nan. Jack,
