Perspective is paramount. Take the heavens gate cult as an example. They really did beleive there was a spaceship hiding behind Hale-Bopp. Her logic is sound and indicates a far more dangerous situation exists in this country. Beck says it almost every day. Their silence is telling. If someone presented damning proof in a court trial, the defendent would most surely plead the 5th amendment. Or lie. A lie is open to investigation (refer to all of O’s lies on healthcare) and easily dismissed. Silence is only open to speculation.

I don’t think they were protecting Obama or hiding people like Van Jones (who after all has a big net footprint) … there is a much simpler explanation.

They simply do not think Jones’ (and others like him) views are in the least radical and didn’t think main stream American would find anything extreme in them.
