Leftist comedian Bill Maher had the week off from his HBO political chat show “Real Time” thus I won’t be able to provide any commentary on him today. This week’s show on September 11 will feature, according to HBO.com:
Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY)
Kathy Griffin, comedian
Paul Rieckhoff, author and veterans advocate
Rajiv Chandrasekaran, journalist
Richard Clarke, fmr. counter-terrorism czar
(I’m not looking forward to Griffin. She’s REALLY ANNOYING!)
To tide everyone over until next week I’ll refer you to the many Maher rebuttals and blog posts in our archives! Catch up on one you might have missed and stay tuned for my post(s) on Maher’s next show this weekend:
On July 29, I challenged Maher’s conspiracy theories about prison and health care.
For July 27, Maher’s advocacy of a racial war had to be rebutted.
On July 20, it was time to highlight Maher for when he actually got some things right.
And for my very first NewsReal post on July 6, I had to call out Maher for staging a health care debate in which the range of debates went from the socialist Left to the pragmatic Democratic Party Left. (Incidentally, Maher has since redeemed himself on this point, hosting debates with conservative critics of the President’s plans.)
And these are just the points focusing on Maher. There are additional posts as well, discussing some of his interviews and guests.
