Jones said.. These comments, made before I joined the administration, were clearly inappropriate,,,

I find this funny, as it appears that when in government he quickly says that what he had said was inapproprate, but does that change what he feels inside. It would appear that to keep the votes one will backtrack on anything whilst still believing it in their hearts..
I cant of course say that he is not sorry, but hey, why would we trust a politician or the media... especially the left..

I guess Van Jones is a real big man now and grew some more hair on his chest since he cussed. This shows credibility with Jones - calling names like a jackel.

He won't have to resign. First, he's a democrat. Second, Obama and the media see nothing controversial about Van Jones wanting a communist revolution and using dishonesty to achieve that goal.

Health Reform:

In my opinion - In case no health or humanitarian crisis (real or generated) emerges for the president to fast track his health care, here is likely the closing argument the president will give to get it passed, and just by means of his greatest commodity - his charm and rhetoric.
And no one will be able to challenge it without looking the fool:

"There comes a time when silence is betrayal… History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people.

We are called to speak for the weak, for the voiceless, for victims… We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Cowardice asks the question: is it safe? Expediency asks the question: is it politic? Vanity asks the question: is it popular?

But conscience asks the question: is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular- but one must take it simply because it is right.

    – Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.
